Liberty @ Robert Morris
Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
If jcmanson shows up and keeps his "LU will contend for the NC in 2011" stuff again, can someone ban him?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yup. We came out flat, got dominated on the line, shot ourselves in the foot, and lost.grizzaholic wrote:Liberty lost?? Oh well.

No reason to quit your job over a football game.kuntryboimike wrote:i quit

Well at least Liberty fans have been brought back to earth. Maybe the same things will happen to JMU fans next week. Wait... damn. Guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.

Go ahead, we don't hand out demerits here.kuntryboimike wrote:this game will leave a bad taste in my mouth for years. i feel bitter. i want to cuss. and i'll never get over it
Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
They came out, controlled the line of scrimmage, ran all over us, converted huge first downs, played great D, especially in the Red Zone, Mike Brown locked in on Chris Summers way too often, and we lost.
We ran our same old stubborn defense, and they marched down the field to win. We had gotten pressure on the QB all day, but we dropped 8 in a deep zone. It was a tied game and we let them get a huge play over the middle to start their drive.

Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
What an embarrassment! Not for Liberty, of course, but for those idiots that had us in their top 25. The team showed a real lack of resolve and the defense was basically porous- OK if you are playing JMU or Appy, but not when you are playing a limited scholly team. Reminds me a lot of Lafayette- good discipline and hard work often trumps rankings and studs. The truly good teams have both, and Liberty obviously isn't at that level, yet.

That's how VMI felt after our embarrassing lost to Georgetown in 2004. That still makes me want to throw up now.kuntryboimike wrote:this game will leave a bad taste in my mouth for years. i feel bitter. i want to cuss. and i'll never get over it

Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
and i don't care if by some miracle we won the championship. (i know it's not possible) but i'd still consider this an UNSUCCESSFUL season
Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
Exactly. When you get dominated on the line of scrimmage, you have to get big plays to overcome that. We didn't get big plays. We got dominated. We lost.rogers3 wrote:What an embarrassment! RMU will get votes. I think Liberty will still be in the top25...barely. For those that think Rocco is up for bigger and better things, I think these losses are shooting him in the foot.

I wouldn't mind if someone did hire him, right now, and he took his D Coordinator with him.LynchburgFlamesFan wrote:RMU will get votes. I think Liberty will still be in the top25...barely. No way bud. We will have to win the BS bid to get to the playoffs. We will not beat JMU....kuntryboimike wrote:oh and i wouldn't be surprised to see rocco jump at the first FBS team that offers now

Re: Liberty @ Robert Morris
Let's go on ahead and lose big to JMU and one in the BS (probably Presby again) and we would stand a chance to win the conference AND get Rocco back, for sure!LynchburgFlamesFan wrote:RMU will get votes.
