Until I see something to show me (TEAM A THAT HASN'T PLAYED TEAM B) is better than (TEAM B THAT HASN'T PLAYED TEAM A)...

Your logic. It goes both ways.
the way I see it, VT is better than Temple, and JMU beat VT while NOVA lost to Temple, that rates JMU a higher rating. Even though I hate most (not all) of the JMU fans for there (we're better than you so bow to me) attitude

Do you guys think we'll get more votes because of the way we played against W&M? I know we lost, but still...I mean we had more votes after beating Campbell than Jacksonville who had beat us.

I've got Liberty hanging in my poll. The probably is I don't know where to put them. I've got my top 12 but after that I'm at a loss.

i think a lot of teams just choked this weekend. liberty for example. OBVIOUSLY better than st francis. we just have to face reality and give a few teams the benefit of the doubt. you gotta think is this team REALLY better than that team even though this team choked this weekend. i kept liberty top 20 because for those of us that have been at LU for a few years we know liberty always has one game EVERY year that they choke and overlook a team and lose because of it. the rest of the season should be good since we got that game out the way. i'm just glad it happened before conference play started.

I got Liberty in my top 20 as well...as of now.

I've got 12 hours to get this finished though. Hell, my 5-10 is likely to change yet.

Nearly impossible to fill out this poll this week. Seems like everybody loss, and nobody else deserves to move up.

I probably have some teams in the 18-25 range that NO ONE else will have, and I can accept that. The poll this week was impossible to do.

i agree. and because of that most of my top 25 are in the same general area from last week with a few sports moved up or down. we really shouldn't put teams in the top 25 if they don't belong even if some teams really screwed up this week. It just happens.

My 18-25 consists of the likes of UNI, SIU, NDSU, WIU, and YSU. I had no clue who to put in 20-25 to be honest with you... Crazy week. Not sure WIU and YSU deserve to be up there yet though, but I have the most knowledge of those two programs.

My 20-25 includes Liberty, McNeese State, Youngstown State, North Dakota State, Alabama State, and one other team... I forget but I think its either South Dakota or Central Arkansas...

So McNeese gets ranked....why? Reputation?
They just barely beat (re)start up Lamar and got blown out by an FBS.
I just want some reasonings because this is the first time I have done a poll and want to pick some brains to get some insight and a better grasp as to others' processes and such. (Not trying to be a homer or push TXST cause we have a lot to prove yet)

Lamar was made a bit more legit this weekend, weren't they?

Can't see that as such a bad game now.

YSU has beaten Butler and CCSU. WIU has beaten Valpo and SHSU. Neither deserve to be in the top 25 until they beat someone. WIU has the best win over SHSU but I think a lot of people had them at 8th in the Valley and they will have to over come that.

Lamar has had a very successful freshman campaign so far. I think people will begin to look at them as a top 25 team if they continue to play the way they have.

Spoke a little about it in my previous post about McNeese/Lamar I went by the coaches poll and moved around from there, because I wanted a base to make sure I didn't forget any teams. Once I got to about 16 I struggled with very legitimate teams to fill out the rest; which is why I, according to some, have an "odd" bottom end of my poll.

This poll was the most bizarre I have ever submitted. So many big name teams left out and a lot of new teams. I tried to ignore all other polls already released and forget about last years results.

I believe it was on Dream Cast.

I can never tell if you're joking or if you're wearing such dark green glasses that you are a complete moron. Morgan State has never done anything to be considered a decent team, let alone very good.

Like I said MSUfan, I know YSU needs to earn a top 25 bid, but as others noted, with so many top 25 losses this week, we really had no choice but to throw these teams into the top 25. It is worth noting that Butler and CCSU were the defending Pioneer and NEC Champs and may very well end up winning each conference again. Hell CCSU may end up making the playoffs, which is a scary thought.

Regardless, I still think MSU is a top 2-3 team in the league right now.

This is why polls are a joke.
From an earlier poster......

Anything strike you as odd in the above post?
