1. I guess that makes the loss feel better, you guys got worked by a TE with no knees and a 4th round WR.
2. FIFY
Come on now TJ. Ease up, our owner isn't willing to spend any money. Our #2 WR is Lafell or DWAYNE JARRETT! With that said, I just hope you're not like most Dallas "fans" who have never been to Texas, let alone Dallas.
You think the Bucs owners are spending any money? We have the lowest salary in the league, the past couple offseasons we've been battling with the salary FLOOR rather than the CAP. The Glazers are BROKE. They're USELESS and the Bucs need to be sold ASAP.

The Glazers put their money on Man U. And they're ultra cheap which is why Raheem (even though he's a nice guy) is the coach. And rediculous prices (even with discounts) have scared away the fans. Nobody cares and unless they signed a super big name, I don't think fans would care. Even at 2-0 there's no buzz in this town. Except from the Steelers fans that live here. At least there shouldn't be a blackout this week. I think even being cheap there's talent on the team. It's just really young. I'd be impressed if they won 6 or 7 games.

Where did I mention the Bucs? I quoted TJ talking about the Cowboys, and I mention the word "Dallas" twice. Reading comprehension is essential.

Reading comprehension is essential. If you're going to cry about your owner not spending money, it's no longer valid as an excuse when you get smacked in the mouth by the team with BY FAR the lowest payroll in the NFL. :thumb:

Which is the most embarrassing part about it. They spend so much and don't get any results.

 I stated a fact about Dallas and Carolina. It was a comparison of payrolls between the Panthers and the Cowboys. To make it simple, their Jerry (Jones) spends more than our Jerry (Richardson). For some reason, you thought that meant someone cared about the Bucs. :thumb:

My point was that Jerry Richardson was unwilling to spend any money this offseason to fix the Panthers' problems, do you disagree? If you want to talk smack against the Panthers (and they deserve it), you should start a separate thread, hell I'd join in.

FTR, I was at the TB game this past weekend, what a waste of money (that the owners did spend to put that garbage on the field, and it certainly wasn't worth what I paid to go). Congrats on TB's win last week, it's quite the accomplishment.

As to payrolls, according to the site below (looks like your link evaluates payrolls differently), TB's is about $8million less than the Panthers. However, TB is not listed last meaning TB is not BY FAR the lowest payroll in the NFL.

The site shows that out of 32 teams, TB ranks 23rd in payroll. By comparison, the Panthers rank 17th. Not a huge difference, but back to my original point (that had nothing to do with TB), the Cowboys' payroll ranks 2nd. Which is much higher than the Panthers.

I was going off a different source that said the Bucs were far and away the last. But then I re-read it and saw that it was "committed for next season". Which, while it proves that we really don't have that much on the books, doesn't mean we have the lowest salary. My bad. :thumb:

 It happens. Either way, the Panthers suck. But, the Raiders show that money doesn't always buy talent.

In Charlotte, it's just amazing the way JR cut the team. We're one of the youngest teams in the NFL (TB probably is too), but JR has made it clear, no veterans are allowed to join. Clearly he's positioning the franchise for the new CBA (and potential lockout). In the end, he may prove a genius, but for now it seems he put the league above his own team and it's fans...which has many here angry--especially the PSL owners.

Sounds like exactly what the Bucs are doing. Limiting payroll, bringing in tons of young guys, not bringing in veterans, and "setting themselves up" for a new CBA.

That or our owners are over in the UK wiping Wayne Rooney's arse with all their money and can't send any back to the poor old Bucs.

My feelings are that the bolded is the case. Most people on the radio (of course none of us truly know) feel the same. As bad as last season started, I think the coaching staff has done a hell of a job with what they have to work with. It's a shame fans aren't turning out to see games, but I can understand their indifference.
