Chattanooga at Western Carolina-Nice to see the Whee win a game against a good G-W team, but UTC has too much offense for the Cats to hang.
The Citadel at Furman-Furple put in a very good effort against USC but did lose half of their 2-headed QB tandem to injury. Mimms was unstopable. Purple wins big at home. They are for real.
Elon at Georgia Southern-This game takes on added inportance with the Elon loss to Richmond. GSU has done a much better job than expected with the triple-option, but the big surprise is the strong play of the defense which was at times horrible last year. This could be a nail-biter and it's always tough to win at Eagle Creek. Elon endures in a tight one against pass happy Phoenix.
Appalachian State at Samford- App State will see a different team than the Sammy team that was looking past Newberry on Thursday night. App has looked better against the run this year but haven't faced a back like Evans either. App has too many weapons on offense and wears Sammy down in the second half. ASU wins but it ain't easy and isn't decided until the 4th quarter.

I agree that this will be interesting. I'm a little bit nervous, because now we have no room for error. We more than likely aren't going to win at the Rock, so we'll have win our other 7 remaining to make the postseason. GSU looks pretty good this year.

Chatty in a close one, App and Furman by multiple scores, and GSU finally breaks the streak against Elon in what should be the GOTW in the SoCon because these two teams seem to play nailbiters even in years when one team is clearly better.

Elon vs GSU is on SportSouth (DirecTV 649) at 6pm Saturday.
