On the Dukes' 2-0 start and how it positions JMU for a playoff bid: "If we win the next game we'll be 3-0. I hadn't thought about the rest of all that stuff you just asked me. I don't even want to be that smart."
The only story line from this game that I'm taking away is that it's effectively a referendum on Liberty football. A loss to Bob Morris and a loss to JMU and their only win of reasonable quality would be Ball State. Yes, their conference gets an AQ now, but what hope is there for this team if Robert Morris is too much opposition. Liberty either needs to send a message or break out the 2011 calendar.

Yes, but if Liberty should win tomorrow, which game is the fluke? The win over JMU or the loss to RMU? Beating JMU would be huge for them, but these losses to inferior teams and other Big South teams is what's going to keep them from really turning the corner.

For a program that has lots of money, plenty of fans in the stands and on the message boards, and now has an opportunity to AQ in the playoffs, they need to make a statement. Ball State isn't it. Beating Presbyterian isn't it. I'm not going to concern myself with whether or not a Liberty win or a loss is a fluke.
I'll reiterate, this game against JMU is a referendum on Liberty football.

I agree with this. But we do get the AQ and we can make a statement in the playoffs. Even if we lose to JMU, if we win out, putting us at 9-2 and in the playoffs, we would have another chance in the playoffs to make a statement.

You're down by 4, not 40.
It's the same defense that lost to Presby, RMU, Stony Brook, etc. It's gotten really old.
