NLCS
Re: NLCS
That's be nice. Certainly the Yankees. That'd be special.89Hen wrote:IF the Phils were to win the whole shebang, I'd love to see them go through the Braves and Yankees.

Braves haters...
I chose Bravos and Reds because the Braves will not be able to beat the Phillies in a series..

I saw a few App State fans walk by our tailgate for the phils/bravos game this past Sunday... looked like a bunch of hippies, they even had their kids wearing tidied hoodies.

I WANT it to be Phils-Braves so we can beat Bobby Cox one last time, and that's how I voted. I THINK it will be Phils-Giants, though.

I'm a lifelong Reds fan, and I hate the Giants. Easy choice, then.
BTW, we just got the news that dollar-funnel Barry Zito has been dumped from the Giants' playoff roster. His record is explanation enough, but many teams would have brought him along since they're paying him anyway.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: NLCS
As a Phils fan I'd rather play a beat-up Braves team versus go up against the Giants pitching. The Phils would win either way, but as someone else said, ending Bobby Cox's career would be good with me.

Re: NLCS
I agree - it would be a cakewalk to have to play the Braves - we could even put Vance Worley on the post season roster and let him shut them down again. But alas, it will be a harder road as we'll have to go through San Fran.bluehenbillk wrote:As a Phils fan I'd rather play a beat-up Braves team versus go up against the Giants pitching. As of right now Cablevision viewers in NY and Philadelphia wont be able to watch the game tonight as FOX has yanked its channel from Cablevision over a fee dispute. The channels in NY and Philadelphia were taken down at midnight. Cablevision currently pays FOX $70 million for rights to broadcast the channels, FOX wants $150 million in the new deal.

Philly losing. I know they have passionate fans, but they also are some of the worst fans for any sport.BlueHen86 wrote:What couldn't?Willie wrote:Couldn't happen to a better city.
