I don't know what your issue is with me, but you can cut it out at any time now. Your profile says you're 31, act like an adult and actually discuss what you disagree with. Don't be a jackass.

Did you once stop to think how bad of a blowout it might have been if Liberty hadn't shot themselves in the foot? What if Mike Brown doesn't throw three interceptions?ToTheLeft wrote:Read the next sentence. Stop being childish.Keenan wrote:

But he did. It's not uncommon either. He's thrown his fare share of interceptions. It happens. I learned my lesson to stop going off of "what if" and start looking at "what happened". Ursus taught me that lesson
Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
That's not what I'm trying to say. They played well, but they shot themselves in the foot when they were panicking to get back into the game. But keep ignoring what I say just so you can disagree.Keenan wrote:Did you once stop to think how bad of a blowout it might have been if Liberty hadn't shot themselves in the foot? CSU was a not-as-good hit by Kyle O'Donnell from being in the lead of this game in the 2nd half. We scored a lot in garbage time when they just threw the ball up for us to take.
If you refuse to see that CSU played well, and there were times that we were flatout outplayed, then you're too drunk on the koolaid for anyone to help.
Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
I discuss things when someone disagrees with me. I believe I am right, so I tell them why I'm right. Why on earth do I get crap from my fellow fans because I have a different view point? Why? Are you that insecure that my opinion seems threatening? I come from the perspective that what I say is right, because that's WHY I SAY IT. Thus, that means I think the other person is WRONG. At least I actually present how I feel instead of your immature crap you spew at me.Keenan wrote:My issue is you being ok to disagree with any other Liberty fan, but once someone disagrees with youToTheLeft wrote:

Yeah, does anyone want to actually discuss the game? Since clearly Keenan is just throwing his toys around the room.
Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
Exactly. And what happened was 3 quarters and a couple minutes of really good football that truly could have gone either way, and then a collapse by a team running a 2nd string QB in a hostile environment.kuntryboimike wrote:But he did. And terrible officiating both ways.
Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
I was glad our joke of Defensive scheme was able to win this game for us.

It didn't.
Kyle O'Donnell won the game for us. His forced fumble saved the game, when they were at the goal line after marching down the field on us again, running and throwing with ease, especially on 3rd down. We were about to go down by at score, and it would have changed the entire complexion of the game. Instead, CSU had to start playing desperate, their backup QB who hadn't played at all this season threw a couple ducks that you or I could have picked off, and it was over.
But yeah, the scheme won. Allowing all those 3rd and longs. 3rd and 14 and our DB's are giving a TWENTY yard cushion. Give me a break manson.

Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
Really the backbreaker sequence was this:
1. Fumble by CSU inside our 5 yard line
2. LU Missed Field Goal
3. Interception by Vinson
4. Holloway TD (LU 30-14)
5. CSU TOD
6. Brown TD (LU 37-14 I write "game over" in my notebook)
CSU scores on two of those three and its a totally different ballgame

I can't believe two LU fans are at each other's throats like this. Embarrassing. By the way, The QB was 3rd string- they played 16 (Toscano), then 12 played a couple of series, then 11 came in. I, also, saw the game hinge on that goal line TO. Going into the 4th, the D put more pressure on the CSU QB than I've seen them apply in any other game. For much of the game, It seemed as though the QB had plenty of time. Mike Brown, on the other hand, didn't seem to get as much protection. Boy, what a difference a year makes.

No. Trudkowski was listed 2nd on the 2 deep. He was the second string.rogers3 wrote:I can't believe two LU fans are at each other's throats like this. Embarrassing. They brought in Mounce for ONE series, hoping Toscano could come back. They had planned to redshirt Trudkowski, but with Toscano suffering a longer term injury, they wanted to use the best QB they had. And so Mounce came in at first, but once they found out Toscano was done for a while, they burned the redshirt for the backup and planned starter of the future Trudkowski.
And I agree, it was refreshing to see so much pass rush! Kyle O'Donnell was in the middle of most of it, either in coverage or pass rush. He had a great game.
Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
Odd that a team would put a redshirt in as their 2nd string, but I assume they weren't planning on losing Toscano to begin with. 2nd or 3rd, 12 was Mill's first choice; I wonder if Toscano's injury will be such that it was worth the redshirt.ToTheLeft wrote:No. Trudkowski was listed 2nd on the 2 deep. Re: Chuck South vs Liberty week FINALLY
Toscano came out for the 2nd half on crutches. CSU knows this is the most important part of the season, so once Toscano wasn't going to come back for this game (at least), they needed to put in Trudkowski for the best chance to win. He is a senior, and had been in the program, but Toscano was the clear starter. I don't think in their worst nightmare was a thought about losing Toscano long term, so they brought in Mounce, who had played already, and was not being tentatively redshirted. Mounce had a terrible couple of plays, and Toscano's injury was bad, so they went to their best backup, not just a stopgap hoping that Toscano would come back.rogers3 wrote:Odd that a team would put a redshirt in as their 2nd string, but I assume they weren't planning on losing Toscano to begin with. 2nd or 3rd, 12 was Mill's first choice; I wonder if Toscano's injury will be such that it was worth the redshirt.ToTheLeft wrote:

From the horse's mouth...

"When we got word back on the injury, we had to make a decision of whether to pull the redshirt off, and felt like the percentage move was to pull it off. We haven't had some of the fiscal or physical resources, but we have had the intangible things such as the quality of people, and this was evidenced by Andrew in that he didn't even stutter. I said get warmed up and he came out and competed hard. I know there are some plays he would like to have back, but I thought it was an inspiring performance by Andrew."

Too bad for CSU and Toscano. I still think they could be a factor in the BS if they could keep mistakes to a minimum.

We don't win this game without our defense. Props to Coach Clark and Coach Rocco for game planning the D good enough to win.

Chuck South just needs to learn how to finish the game. Seems like they explode after the 3rd quarter.
You want my guns? Come take them.
