GFY, seriously. PLEASE tell me who Boise State would beat in the SEC on a regular basis. The WAC is a joke and you fucking damn well know it.
who the hell is saying that the WAC isn't weak? That ain't the point, we all know that. Fact of the matter is that they don't have a lot of control over what their conference is so enough of the strawman argument about their conference. That's hollow BCS bullshit.

They do beat pretty much any big team that is forced to play them in anything less than the NC game. So how many would they win in the SEC with the playing field being leveled...I'd guess that they would win a lot as they would now be getting the type of players that an SEC team gets. Surely you are not saying that they don't vastly overachieve at this point with recuruiting into the WAC conference and STILL beating those teams with a much higher profile?

The big teams won't play them because they are that good against them. The big teams are fucking pussies for trying to keep it out of their grasp when they are willing to do anything to play those guys.

It's kinda sad to see you sitting here defending the overlords that try to keep their thumb down on the smaller school doing everything they can to be in the mix. You of all people ought to be able to see this from the perspective of the small school but you argue as if you were a part of the BCS comittee to keep them out of it.

In the last 3 years (2008-present), only 3 of those soft games (unless you want to count their 1 point loss and 3 point win to TCU) Boise has won by 11 points or less (7 points against Tulsa and 10 against Louisiana Tech last year and 7 points against Nevada 2 years ago with 11 last year). I would think a BCS conference team would kick tail in the same fashion.

You must be referring to something like Alabama just did then right? I mean we all know that BCS teams never have close games against what the outside world deems less worthy opponents?

ESPN just showed a poll based on their BCS guru knowing 5 of the 6 computer poll formulas. Boise was #1, Oregon #2 and TCU #3.

And that's why ESPN doesn't do the BCS polls.

Read what it says more carefully. It says ESPN used their top BCS analyst and took the formulas to make his own poll.

It was strictly based on the computer polls combined with the other factors so there was no guess work involved. He even said Ohio State was #10 in the computer polls and got up to #5 based on the coaches poll.

Ohio State is #1 and should be. I still think, in MY opinion, Bama should be in the top 5. That's the last comment I have on it.

Oh, please. I'd put money on Ohio State to lose to the Griz....

My biggest problem with the thought of a one less Alabama team staying ranked ahead of Boise/TCU/Oregon, etc stems from what is one of the biggest arguments you often hear from BCS supporters, "we don't need a playoff because it would devalue the regular season, the regular season is a playoff every week." If that were truly the case, then Alabama lost, they should fall behind all the remaining undefeated teams until they lose a game as well.

I do think Alabama is a better team than Boise State, and I don't think there are 7 teams in the nation that could beat 'Bama on a neutral field but for supporters of the BCS to rank the Tide in front of BSU (or whatever other random other undefeated team there is) would be hypocrisy at it's finest.

Maybe, but Boise would go undefeated in the lame Big 10. They should be ranked ahead of Ohio St.

wideright was a kicker, I was a punter.

And bandl, unless you ever meet me, don't make that assumption. This is a message board, you can't judge people from them. Ask any of the Griz fans on here that I've met and ask them if I'm an angry person.

You use your foot to 'kick' the ball, yes? Punter/Kicker...same thing to football players :)

Sorry, all I have to go on is what you present on the message board to make such an assumption....banning people on CS, rants about the Yankees & Ohio State, etc. Hey, you're passionate and seem a little hot-headed, I'm not holding it against you. :thumb:

We can judge that you are an idiot and clearly have something wrong somewhere upstairs....

So it is Boise' fault for going out and trying to schedule 2 tough opponents and those opponents turn around and suck? How is it Boise's fault that computer polls that have been used for the last 10+ years has them first?

I don't think it will last once OSU, Oregon, and Bama all get into the conference games and their SOS strengthens but this isn't Boise's fault and it is the system that has been used against them for years now.

I hope there are 6 undefeated teams at the end of the year and chaos breaks out. Won't change a thing but it would be fun.
