Steve Mariucci back to SF in 2011?

Post by DKHardee »

NFL.com says Mariucci may be back in San Francisco in 2011, he was the last coach to take SF to the playoffs. Other candidates include Stanford's Jim Harbaugh and John Fox. :thumb:

The Niners need to wipe the slate clean with the front office like the Seahawks did. Need everyone on the same page.

Singletary's a good coach, but he'd probably be better off in Chicago.

Has anyone in Frisco put out feelers to Young? He'd be a good coach.

How is crazy Singletary a good coach? What qualities has he exhibited that would remotely make it seem like he is a good coach.

And why would Young be a good coach?

Singletary took one too many shots to the head. He's fuckin' looney.

I've personlly met Singletary, he's a great guy. Great guy's don't always make great coaches. I was hoping the best for him, even as a Anti-Bear, Packer fan. Can't really let the 49er's organization off the hook either, for example, passing on a Bay area college stud QB A-Rod from Cal, and taking A-Smith.

Singletary is not a good coach. At least not now anyways. Just because he is 'intense' and 'crazy' and has a gigantic head that looks like an orange on a toothpick, doesn't mean he is a good coach.

He might make a pretty good linebackers coach though.

I'm not even sure what this means, or if there is some sort of connection between Letterman and Singletary. Regardless, I haven't watched Letterman in 3 years or so, which I believe is before Singletary became the huge head coach at SF. So what am I missing?

I think Singletary would be better off as a coordinator

Letterman has been harrassing Singletary with offensive skits for months. This is just a sample of the drivel Letterman has foisted on Singletary recently.
