Nothing to discuss. Those of who believe are simply into the practice of thanking our Creator and Lord for his blessings which include life itself and the ability to live it. Simple as that. Long week huh?

I guess you think they should thank Obama.

So what's worse, being stuck in a mine or Atlanta's Airport.

Their faith is what kept them in good condition.

What, you thought they were going to credit Iowa for their rescue?
Actually, if they had they might have been rescued months earlier...

Iowa sucks now. They are a bunch of soybean eating pansy carpet munchers. DC/B'more is where it's at now. FYI.

They should be pissed at this "god" creature for putting them there in the first place.
A warm, loving, compassionate god would never do that to his children, to allow them to suffer so.

If God rescued them, then why doesn't God get the blame for trapping them?
What they should be doing is thank God for science, and American Taxpayers

NASA technology was a major part of the rescue - all paid for by us. Glad we invested in it.89Hen wrote:Why's that?dbackjon wrote:What they should be doing is thank God for science, and American Taxpayers

Actually Hen, faith helps, but just like in everything, it was technology, yearning to be with family, hard work, a basic survival instinct in all of us or ingenuitiy that kept them alive.89Hen wrote:Their faith is what kept them in good condition.![]()
God, jesus or the holy ghost - whichever one they were praying too, undeservedly, gets all the credit.
If your gonna give god credit for the rescue, then you also gotta fault him (or it ) for the collapse.
It's simple.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

God inconvenienced a lot of motherfvckers across the world to "test" them, Z. Cost 'em several millions of dollars, too. Should the Chilean prez send the bill to "God"?

Faith, even if it is in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is a very powerful thing. There is a reason for those people who are going through really hard times that all of a sudden break out of it and then they credit faith. That faith isn't always in God, although God does get the most credit. I know people who have had situations like that, but they credit the turn around to finding faith in anything to believe in.
The technology saved them, the faith kept them going.
Oh, and as for the "God would never do this to his children" shit. If you read the Bible and take it as face value/believe it/whatever you know God has done this shit for as long as Christianity has been around. Like Z said, if God is real, God was testing them. They passed the test. Next story.
