My thoughts on the game:

1) Nice game for PSU, they turned it over, but they played hard and acted like they wanted to win. :thumb:
2) Terrible QB play by Roper again, he hasn't looked good all year and we should start shopping for a drop down or playing another QB. I would rather see Chase run the wildcat than watch Roper throw the ball again. :ohno:
3) We are punchless, no sense of urgency or desire to win. The Griz should have put up a lot more points with the turnovers they had from PSU, credit to PSU defense because it could have gotten ugly quick.
4) We are not going to win in the playoffs playing the way we are. Hell, we won't make the playoffs playing the way we are.
5) We need to work on special teams, enough said here.
6) We need to run some people until they puke, the personal fouls and undisciplined play is unacceptable. Hold players accountable Coach, they can and should be reduced.
7) I couldn't get a good look at the penalty that hurt the PSU player from the online feed, but I really hate that type of play, very sorry to see that happen.
8) Not feeling very good about this win, not trying to be a sorry winner, but we really played badly and we are capable of playing so much better. On the other hand, you can only say that so long before you have to admit that maybe you aren't. :coffee:

1) Griz have a lot of talent
2) This coaching staff leaves me frustrated almost every game
3) If this was the NFL Pflu would have fired his special teams coach by now
4) Griz are one dimentional, even though Reynolds had over 100 yards....Cats ran it down PSU's throat and it opened up their receivers who were way better athletes than PSU's but the Griz can't really run so PSU sat back all game....
5) Roper needs to find the accuracy button and fast, I will head to Staples and see if I can find one
6) I want to shoot Big Sky Refs..they have no f@(k!^$ clue what is what.....

Man, you should(shouldn't?) listen to some of the others on big sky network. I thought they were actually pretty good, many are much much worse.

Even with the thousands of issues, though, the Griz have a great chance to win out and finish 9-2. They get NAU & Montana St. at home and the only road game is Weber, who isn't playing well at all right now.

This may seem shocking, but the Griz are now +1 in turnover margin on the season.

Now that is hard to believe. I think, before the SFA game, the Griz were +12 last year. What a depressing turnaround

It feels like every other possession, regardless of who has the ball, is ending up in a turnover right now. Its rather ridiculous how many turnovers, good and bad, there have been this year.

That said, I still can't believe we're a plus with turnover differential overall.

I like how we lead the conference in both categories. Takeaways and giveaways.

Well, what a finish to an otherwise ugly game. You won't win many games putting the ball on the field 7 times (losing 4). If this is a down year for Montana, they are still Montana and for us to put ourselves in a position to win the game, with all the turnovers we had and after where we were at the end of last year, I'll take it. We are just trying to bring back some respect in the conference and this game was a good for us in that regard. I am sad we lost when we had a shot to win, but I am pleased at where we are now as compared to the end of last year. We will be back.

As for PSU, I would take this year's PSU team in year 1 under a new coaching staff, over any team Glanville put on the field. This outsider thinks PSU has a bright future and this year will be one to build off.

As for the GRIZ, we are not even close to being a quality playoff caliber team. Our coverage teams are horrible. Offensively we are inconsistent and need to take better care of the ball. Defensively, not much to bitch about, considering the situations they have been put in this year.

We better clean things up starting against NAU. If we play like we have been, we could lose to NAU and MSU, and depending on which Weber State team shows up, could lose to them too.

On the other hand, if the GRIZ take care of the ball and even get average special teams coverage, this team could be outright dangerous. Time to perform boys!!!!

They replayed that on the TV multiple times. The injury was due to his own player falling into his knee. The penalty was away from the injury.

On the other hand Severin Campbells injury occured on a chop block in the first half. Saw a few other blocks in the second half where the receiver comes in and block the DE while they are engaged with the tackle that could have been called illegal also, but were not called.

I couldn't see it from the online feed, they didn't replay it either, so glad to hear that wasn't where the injury came from, but not happy to see anyone get hurt and I think they need to come down a lot harder on teams/players for that type of block. :twocents:

To all PSU fans, you really have to do some training when it comes to your fans. I don't think I have seen worse fan knowledge of the game ever. Every time PSU had the ball all of the moron students were banging those dam blowup sticks and the rest of your fans were cheering as loud as they could. WTF are they thinking? Here we are at an away game and not only does it look like we are at a home game it sounds like one as well, even when the opponent had the ball. :ohno: :ohno:

You should have been playing at this stadium the whole time. Way nicer field than that POS downtown. :thumb:

Big thumbs  to about %90+ of the PSU players who refused to shake hands after the game.

Big thumbs :thumb: to Pine State Biscuits for breakfast.
