Many (not all) of these signs confirm what I've been feeling about this rally: although it was originally intended as a rally against extremism on BOTH sides, it was a rally that was ultimately embraced by many liberal extremists as a satire of conservative extremists.

Ultimately there was a lack of truthiness about what this rally signified, but I don't expect any news commentator to address that, lest they become fodder for humor at the hands of Stewart/Colbert. I just wonder whether Stewart and Colbert grasp that their rally became at least somewhat hijacked, notwithstanding Stewart's plea at the rally to both sides to notch down the noise.

Is there really anyone who disputes that?

BTW, the signs are funny as hell.

I think some of the signs are funny as hell. But some are just bitter noise, as bitter as the noise they oppose.

BTW, where in the hell were these guys rallying? There are no buildings over 10 stories in DC. They could be in Rosslyn, VA but those buildings do not look familiar at all. :|

There were satellite rallies in cities across the country. Maybe from one of them? I dunno.

I agree with that. In fact, I think many groups, many with bad intentions, are trying to hijack the Tea Party movement, and many have enjoyed success at doing so.

Seriously, the amount of good will he could've banked on that one would be enormous. I think his advisors are nerds with no concept of college sports' importance to the nation. Just brutal.

They're working on it. :thumb:
Utah's attorney general met with Justice Department officials this week to discuss a possible federal investigation into college football's Bowl Championship Series.

Attorney General Mark Shurtleff is investigating the BCS for possible antitrust violations and is hoping to get the Justice Department to do so as well.

"They are doing their due diligence," Shurtleff said in a telephone interview Thursday, a day after the meeting. "They had done their homework."

You think the Justice Department pursuing antitrust violations is wasting tax payer money?
