Look at all that Maroon in those stands. The only red i see is the field. They dont call it Eastern Washington Grizzly Stadium for nothing!

"Mostly with Montana fans".........Hmmm, just some quick math.Willie wrote:I see a horrid mistake you call a "stadium" and the biggest crowd your team will ever see at home, mostly with Montana fans.BlackFalkin wrote:

Check that sig,
Check the sig you kitty.
If we are averaging around 8500 over three home games this year, and the Montana game had slightly over 11,700........how do you reckon there were "mostly Montana fans" for the biggest game of the year on the first game of a newly re-dedicated field? Surely we had more fans at the Montana game than the 7,500+ that turned up against NAU. My guess is there were probably around 3k Montana fans there this year.

MT fans got to those ticket offices before your fans did for that game. They didn't have to compete with NAU fans for them.EWURanger wrote:"Mostly with Montana fans".........Hmmm, just some quick math.Willie wrote: I see a horrid mistake you call a "stadium" and the biggest crowd your team will ever see at home, mostly with Montana fans.

There were something like 4500 MT fans there from what I remember so that works out about 60/40 but EWU has really taken it up a notch with fan support it would appear. Congrats to the EWU fans making that happen.
Re: To all the Montana Haters..
There were virtually no NAU fans at the game in Cheney this year. That's my point. If we had 7500+ show up to watch the NAU game, do you really think we had FEWER than that come out to watch Montana? Dude, think about it objectively for a minute. There's no way there were 4500 Montana fans at that game bro.Ursus A. OK then. We've always carried about that many at EWU but if the TV was wrong on the estimates then I'll have to take your word for it.EWURanger wrote:There were virtually no NAU fans at the game in Cheney this year. Your home side had an astonishing amount of Maroon it and the visitor was full of Maroon too but you say that MT fans ddin't cut into the tickets that actually went to the EWU fans right?
It's odd that your ticket office tried to release tickets early to those that had a proper area code and also had season tickets (which a lot of MT folks did) and got the alert so that EWU fans could have a crack at tickets to their own stadium.
You say it didn't happen though so I'm sure it didn't.
Re: To all the Montana Haters..
No one's saying you guys don't travel well. I also don't doubt that there were EWU folks that couldn't go to the game because Montana folks beat them to the punch (I know a few).Ursus A. That said, I really doubt there would be fewer EWU fans at the Montana game than there were at the NAU game. In fact, I know that's not the case.
Agree to disagree, I guess.

No, EWURanger, you're wrong. The talking points are noise level, first, followed closely by cold/inclement weather with stadium size a distant third.EWURanger wrote:This is why I love UM fans.

Re: To all the Montana Haters..
It would be shocking if EWU lost to Idaho State. However, keep in mind that Northridge lost to last-place ISU in 1998 when they only needed that win for the auto-bid (since MSU lost to UM).Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:You think we're going to lose to ISU? Because if we don't, the Griz reign (of BSC titles) is over.EWURanger wrote:No hate here, at least not for the program itself. Even though I have issues with some of UM's fans, here, and on some of the other sites, I do respect their program - as I think most of the fans of the other BSC teams that post on here do.
I don't personally think the Griz reign is over. Just think they're having somewhat of a "down" year with injuries, new coaching staff, etc. Montana should still make the play-offs either way.
It's still funny to rib you guys though.

Your anti-Montana agenda sure gets old. It must be a chore to carry that chip around on your shoulder. Actually the default usually goes back to EWU/Montana WL performance over the years, which you can't deal with, so hear the above, which your system can accept.EWURanger wrote:This is why I love UM fans.

I think you're making false assumptions; no anti-UM agenda here, fella. Quite the contrary. Don't misinterpret the general malaise I have towards a few of the mis-guided idiots that post on here (and egriz) with a dis-respect for Montana's football program. I have no problem with the majority of UM fans - just those who think their shit doesn't stink. Like you.kemajic wrote:Your anti-Montana agenda sure gets old.
