Ok, I have alot of respect for Appalachian State Football... But this is Bologna! They loose to a Decent Georgia Southern Team, who was not or really even getting considered for a TOP 25 ranking, & they only drop to number 3??? I mean i know SFA was at ranked 3rd and fail to 10th in the ranking when they lost to a decent Texas State club, but don't forget Texas State did knock off a pretty good ball club in Cal Poly! Who also beat Montana. Georgia Southern don't have one signature win... Or great win at that! Someone please explain to me? Maybe they just showing them love because they have to go to Gainesville, FL last week of the season.

GSU wasn't a preseason rating. That was 4 or 5 weeks into th eseason.


GSU is better than Texas State, but a pretty good margin.

I know its a tough pill to swallow, but losing to TXST was one of the worst loses we could have had. They are not as good as Georgia Southern, and based on resume we can't argue that we are better than ASU. Also, ASU and GSU are rivals, expect anything in that game. We choked our way to our current ranking. Don't worry, if we take care of business, we might still end up in good shape.

and TXST was what...around #15 or #16 at one time? I agree with you that GSU is better than TXST, and ASU is better than SFA, but not with this logic.

TXST is an interesting case this year...How many teams can say that beat 2 conference champs? (SUU and probably SFA) and a team that beat Montana? (Cal Poly).

Its about how does a team looses to GSU(whos not in the top 25, was barely getting consideration for it) Come On Now,With A Loss like that and only drop two spots... You have to be kidding me! I mean i can say the same about Jacksonville State, granted they did beat Ole Miss. Good win for them, but looses to Eastern Kentucky? A team who is not even over .500 in wins. & Jacksonville State drops from 2 to 6... I just feel like its bogus, maybe its because it was both of the teams first loss of the season... Just feel they got plenty of love, to just becoming off a loss.

Appalachian pays cash to poll voters; not to mention the game officials we have on payola. Anything goes for those who scratch our back including drugs, free rides, prostitutes and rigged payouts from the NC Education Lottery.

It had nothing to do with the fact that Appalachian seriously embarrassed GaSo 52-16 at The Rock last year and paybacks are a beech; nor does it relate to a home winning percentage at Paulson of 85% over 26 years for the Iggles (I'm guessing that puts them in Wa-Griz territory). IIRC, they've won as many as 50 games in a row at home.

And since many Appalachian fans would rather roll nekkid in Paladin Poop than battle GaSo in Paulson, it's safe to say this was not unexpected -- simply gazing at the 2010 schedule when it came out revealed Paulson as the meat in a Vermin-Waffle crap sandwich; enough to raise the hairs on our chinee-chin-chins.

GSU lost to Navy by 3, took down Elon, lost to Wofford by 3, then took #1 to an OT win. They're a bit streaky, but a good team especially with the rivalry and home field. I wouldn't minimize them at all. I'm only just now beginning to care a little about polls, but I'll worry more about getting a win vs. Wofford next week and hope for a Chatty win over the Terriers the following week.
