Are you pleasantly surprised? crushed with disappointment? Or has your team performed as well or as poorly as you were expecting?
URI was 1-10 overall last season. This season I honestly expected 2-9. So for us to be 3-3 in the CAA and have defeated 2 ranked teams (UNH & 'Nova) let's just say that I fall into the THRILLED category.
How about the rest of you?
I'm not completely thrilled but I definitely think ODU has had a successful season. Our 3 losses have come against teams who are currently ranked and have a combined record of 24-8. Also all three games were competitive and some ODU fans might even say we should have won at least two of them if not all three. As for our wins, there were games ODU was supposed to win and some of them pretty easily. As for a 2nd year program I'm definitely thrilled but not as much as I'd hope looking back on it. Either way, 7-3 in your 2nd season of football and 16-5 is not bad at all we ended last season with a 6-game winning streak and now we have a chance this season to end it with a 5-game winning streak. Also we're turning out to be a pretty decent road team as well, 6-1. Of course all of this might change next season when we'll officially be a member of the CAA.

Yep. There are two things you can thank for it taking so long.
The coaches not being able to decide between Davis and Rennie. They have finally setteled on Rennie, and it is paying off big time.
and
The o-line experience, or lack-there-of. 3 combined starts coming into the season, all from one player. The line didn't have the "best 5" out there until the last week or two.
We seem to be getting our shit together at the right time though.
The QB situation was really bad. I'm really disappointed in Farley for letting that go on like it did.
Rennie's passing looked pretty good yesterday.

Rennie is the 17th rated passer in the nation...that puts him ahead of SFA's QB.
