Also disappointed that jacksonville didn't get it in but it is what it is...a majority of their schedule was very soft.

I'd love to see either BCU or SCSU make a run and end our streak of ineptitude in the playoffs. You cannot write off a win this time. SCSU over GSoU or BCU over UNH HAS to be considered a legitimate victory... both of those are hot coming into the playoffs.

I don't see that happening. No knowledgable FCS fan would seriously argue that the Socon is overrated.

GSU loses, and maybe everyone put too much stock in the App win. But the SoCon is a strong league with a handful of teams that are almost always in contention for the playoffs. One loss in one playoff won't change that.

Plus, the conference has the most FCS/IAA titles, right? Hard to argue with that.

Here's why:

Suppose that the CAA gets 4 teams in the playoffs and they all lose their first playoff game. That will be factored into the playoff discussion next year and the CAA might only get 2 or 3 teams in.

If all 4 CAA teams advance in the playoffs the chances of a 5th team getting in down the road increase.

You aren't rooting for conference mates because you are all of a sudden supposed to like them, but because their success/failure may affect your team later on.
