Really? They are the defending BCS National Champs, and they are 9-3 playing in the SEC; if they aren't elite then none of the teams Auburn played this year are elite.

The Tide are ranked #17 in the AP Poll & #19 in the Coaches'. If you want to call them "elite", you have to then call the Griz an elite FCS team this year.

Oh, but that's DIFFERENT. The Griz are not in the CAA, so they are not elite by definition.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
