Did anyone see that with Johnson and the Titans player late? I suspect both guys are gonna get nice hefty fines if not suspensions....

There was a near fight in another game, but nothing to the degree of this Oilers fight. Crazy.

Fines and suspenions? Not far enough for THAT fight. They gotta go with outright bans for that.

(OK, so they won't. The union won't stand for it. But those punks deserve it.)

best joke so far from the fight.

Cortland Finnegan is now named Corltand Innegan, because Andre Johnson beat the F out of him.

At worst one game suspension for Andre. He has no history of anything like this. The way Finnegan reacted to having the punches thrown at him actually hurts his case and helps Johnson

Cortland is a punk, has been a punk, always will be a punk. He has been fined for his behavior before. It was clear he was looking for that type of reaction from Johnson from the way he reacted at the end of it. That reaction may cost him big.

I wouldn't be shocked if Finnegan saw a 2 or 3 game suspension plus a HUGE fine.

I don't see how Finnegan's reaction to the incident should bring an extra fine/suspension. It's quite common for a player to try and get a player to react/retaliate and draw a penalty. It's on the opposing player to calm himself and walk away and not be drawn into the heat of the moment.

I'm not saying the clapping after it will get him an extra punishment. What I'm saying is that if the NFL were to look at that and have to decide who the instigator was and who deserves the harsher punishment it is going to come back on Finnegan.

I don't know if I agree with that. Like I said, it happens all the time in every sport. It's called shit-talking. It's on the bigger man to just walk away and not get suckered in. Let's not forget that Johnson was the instigator anyways on the previous play. Shit, might as well include Andre's facemask/take down on Finnegan from last year as an instigation.

After Johnson tore off Fin's helmet and got in two punches is when I think the harsher punishment should lean towards Johnson. I think that Finnegan's prior history will supercede anything that happens to Andre though. Neither of them is really innocent in this incident.

I haven't seen an in-game fight of this magnitude since Robin Ventura got the p!$$ beat out of him.

Both players received 25k fines. neither was suspended. So players in the NFL don't get suspended if they get ejected for fighting?

Last season Johnson was fined $7500 for taking Finnegan to the ground by the facemask. He should have gotten a one game suspension. I'm baffled as to why he didn't.
