But it would not surprise me to see either EWU or ASU trip up after a week off. ASU has laid some eggs in the opening rounds (even the games they won....SCSt, JMU) not to mention the games they lost (FAMU &.......MAINE). And I think EWU might just be satisfied enough with sharing the conf crown & beating Montana this year......Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:
Agree to disagree then. I don't think any of the seeds will lose in this round either, but I think there's a decent chance that Georgia Southern could beat Bill and Hillary. The next greatest chances of upsets (IMO), in order are: NDSU over MSU, SEMO over EWU, WIU over App, and Lehigh over Delaware.

Re: Which seed is most likely to lose?
No, of course not. Our players don't have a bad taste in their mouths about the loss to MSU whatsoever, and we're not healthier and playing better football right now at all. MSU by 50 in the rematch.Appaholic wrote:Just get by NDSU & you're in the semi's....neither SEMSt nor EWU have got anything for the Bobcats.......catbob wrote:I can't argue with picking MSU. We have shown plenty of weaknesses this year, and have struggled against lesser opponents. We somehow keep winning but the odds are our "luck" may run out sometime. But then again, maybe we are just saving our best for last.

I don't think any of the seeds will go down this week but if I had to choose I'd say Montana State is the most vunerable. I'm also starting to think William & Mary will have their hands full with GSU and the game will be decided late.

GSU is a test, but W&M will prevail and go 2-0 vs. GSU in the playoffs, this time at our place not theirs....

I think the most likely would be the Cats losing to NDSU. I think NDSU plays the the type of game that could be troubleseome for the Cats. That being said, I think the Cats will win.

Most of the App fans I hang with are giving WIU a good deal of respect. Your teams strength is the passing game and our secondary has had a few long afternoons this year. Many good teams have one "clunker" game a year and the Apps had two this year against GaSo (no disrespect intended but 3 TO in the red zone) and Florida, but both were on the road. Playing at The Rock gives us a lot of confidence but don't confuse that with a lack of respect for WIU. We understand the concept of "AGS" very well.Neckfansince71 wrote:Gosh, the way the App. State fans are talking, WIU should not even get off the charter for the game Saturday. Why are so many people picking EWU? Are folks saying an OVC team is tougher than NDSU? Not sure on that one.

Re: Which seed is most likely to lose?
Well...at the end of regulation, both App and GSU had 2 turnovers. Both of Apps were in the redzone, as was one of ours. Our other turnover was deep in our own territory at the 11 yard line. Presley's fumble in OT was due to great defensive pressure (as were his 2 Int's). Even if he didn't fumble, App would have had to convert a 4th and goal from the 10 yard line. The odds weren't on App's side either way.SpeedkingATL wrote:Most of the App fans I hang with are giving WIU a good deal of respect. Turnovers were costly for both teams. It wasn't like App just fumbled the game away.

They're voting with their heart, not their heads; there's a lot of Bison fans on this board as of late.Pwns wrote:Why are so many people picking EWU? Are folks saying an OVC team is tougher than NDSU? Not sure on that one.
Re: Which seed is most likely to lose?
Got mine right, by guess though. Didn't think the sCats would lose but that's why we have the playoffs.

So when was the last time (if ever) 2 seeds went down in, what is essentially, the first round (for them)?
Re: Which seed is most likely to lose?
I'm thinking either William and Mary or maybe Montana State.

Yeah, that surprised me, too! I am not surprised that the OVC went 0-2.
But Montana State's performance against NDSU surprised me, too. Not that I was predicting a Bobcat win, just expected a more competitive game.
Lots of prescient posters here on that NDSU win, though.

It wasn't really that lopsided; MSU led 17-14 early fourth. Then they pulled a Robert Morris…native wrote:But Montana State's performance against NDSU surprised me, too. Not that I was predicting a Bobcat win, just expected a more competitive game.
