I guess that's why they do SportsCenter from LA.

I think it means the C is not always applicable. It's B.S. instead of the B.C.S.

Finally some reality. This just in - they don't give minor league baseball scores, either.

Amen - in the age of the internet, it's never been easier to get information. Heck, I had the nova/SFA game on the TV, and had both the GSU/W&M game and the EWU/SEMo game on my laptop and watched all 3 at the same time, and then switched to the NDSU/MSU game when the W&M game was over. It's never been a better time to be an FCS fan - if you're watching ESPN's ticker, you're stuck in the middle of the 90's.

Uh, dude, they invented laptops more than a decade ago now. You can get a decent one for $500 or less. It sits, on your "lap", while you're in the recliner. :thumb:

....but at least ESPN.com was more up to date with the scores than the commentators of the games were. The commentators for the W&M v GSU game kept giving scores from games that were already 1-2 quarters past the commentators score update.

The only good thing about ESPN is Sportsnation. But, I am pleased that an FCS game is being shown friday night and the APPS will be on saturday.

ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU get a really bad rap IMHO. They show lots of games that would have never been seen "back-in-the-day". Yeah I am a Boomer that remembers Saturday's before the NCAA vs Oklahoma court case in the early 80's.
ABC had Chris Schenkel and Bud Wilkinson for one game and Keith Jackson for the other. CBS and NBC had nothing and Fox or CableTV didn't exist. No Thursday or Friday games, just 2 games each Saturday.

ESPN has a vested interest in the bowl system so they over promote what fits there income stream. They are what they are, but thanks to them every NCAA Football Division plays a Championship game on TV and 5 of the final 7 FCS games are broadcast to the whole nation. And thanks to that exposure more and more kids will look at FCS schools (especially BSC, CAA, MVC and SoCon) to transfer to so they can actually play or even as a solid choice straight from HS.

Now who can remember when ESPN really SUX'd? No American football only Australian, and no baseball only Equestrian events. 24 hours of sports programing and ZERO of it came live from the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA or the NCAA. Now that SUX'd.

Dude, Australian Rules Football rocked and still does. They should still be showing that stuff rather than crap like the ESPYs or junk programming like that. Aussie Rules!!!!!

They need to drop poker, bowling, maybe a sportscenter hour or two and add some rugby & aussie football. I've seen some 7 on 7 college rugby and a rare 6 nations game, but that's about it.

Even though bandl doesn't get jokes very well I gotta agree with his original contention. ESPN doesn't carry too much that I care aobut and I know that so I don't watch it. Watching FCS and getting FCS scores has never been easier than it is now so looking for it on ESPN is relatively dumb. Watching ESPN for FCS scores/coverage is like watching CSPAN to see Diners, Drive inns, & Dives.

ESPN is a wind sock (like all corporations) and they put on what people watch or care about even if it's just the ticker. With that in mind I won't watch any of the ESPN's if an FCS team isn't on it. I bet I haven't watched 8 hrs. of ESPN in the last year. I won't be watching bowl games (maybe TCU or BSU) there either. Instead I'll stick to channelsurfing or ESPN3 for the FCS stuff.
