I also think the ball carrier was down.........and the quality of lighting in that facility leaves a lot to be desired (or was it the snow and red reflection that caused that visual effect?).

Anyway, nice no-quit by EWU late in the game.

If it is a dry game next week, don't be surprised if VU and EWU combine for 80 points.

There's no way Nova gets 80.

If NDSU could ever get a passing game going with their running attack they would be awfully tough and a potential favorite for a championship run.

Biggest difference versus last week at MSU was that EWU was a lot more effective running the ball and Mitchell (even though he played up and down) was willing to pull ball down and run it.

I was only to watch this game through live stats, but EWU's game-tying march looked like the ugliest two-minute scoring drive in history. Is that accurate?

Blackfalkin has got to be the only person in the world with any confidence that Eastern has any chance next week.

I already said in another thread that if you beat Nova, I'm buying your ticket to Frisco. Yes, I will welch on that, but at least I'll be really happy that you beat Nova if the miracle did in fact occur.

I have confidence as well.

Villanova has never won on a red field.
EWU has never lost on a red field.

EWU all the way

pretty Much!!!

Some may say bison got robbed... and it may be true, but when you take the ball away 5 times and leave the game in the refs hands... all I can say is take care of business and the refs have no say!

I as a die hard bison fan am very proud of this team!!!! Good luck EWU see ya next year!

I wonder when the last time Nova played a game this far west? I would guess in the last 10 years the SFA game 2 weeks ago is the farthest west they have been.

I wish they could go back to seeding the entire field. It's nice to see these "cross country" games.

If they did go back to seeding the whole field it might get rid of some of the regional bias in the system. :coffee:

They'd also probably stop doing it the very next year.

Way to go Eagles, reppin that Big Sky very well in our absents. I like your odds at home against Nova much better than I would traveling all the way to App State. Get one more win on that ugly red field Eagles. Big Sky and CAA in the Championship game 3 years in a row! :thumb:

It wouldn't. Even when it was seeded the teams were pretty much seeded to keep them regional. There are some games that couldn't be of course like there is now but it was never a East Coast/West Coast panacea.

Go back and look at the old pairing and you'll be amazed at how the seeds worked out so that teams in the same area ended up playing each other most of the time.
