I'd give EWU a chance next week. If the game was in Philly it would be different. Takes a lot to fly across the country and win a football game. I think it will be a good, close game.JBS wrote:Blackfalkin has got to be the only person in the world with any confidence that Eastern has any chance next week.

All I know is that Nova will not play another game at home this year. Could pull a JMU ala 2004.

Congrats to the Bison on a terrific season. It was an epic game.bison95 wrote:pretty Much!!!Mvemjsunpx wrote:I was only to watch this game through live stats, but EWU's game-tying march looked like the ugliest two-minute scoring drive in history. Is that accurate?
Some may say bison got robbed... and it may be true, but when you take the ball away 5 times and leave the game in the refs hands... all I can say is take care of business and the refs have no say!
I as a die hard bison fan am very proud of this team!!!! Good luck EWU see ya next year!
As far as the call(s) are concerned. I thought the PI was pretty blatant, good call. The db was draped all over the receiver, kind of a no-brainer.
The fumble at the end of the game - I think we got away with one there to be honest, but I would have to go back and take a look. Sucks to see a game end like that, I would have been happy with another OT.
Officiating aside, I was happy to see that EWU didn't quit when they were down. They stayed composed and marched down the field and got in a position to put the game into OT. They didn't quit.
I'll admit that I think we'll be heavy-underdogs against Nova. Rumors are TJ has a grade 3 ankle sprain and most likely will not play.

Eastern Washington - 5 turnovers? More than half their offense on 4 plays? Are we sure that wasn't the Griz out there?
EWU can contain the run, so they have a chance against Nova. BLM desperately needs to have more than 20 yards passing by the 4th. quarter though.

Agreed, throughout the whole game go the pa announcer was saying artificial noise makers are not allowed. Yet the people below us were for ringing f ucking93henfan wrote:That was the replay official not wanting to listen to that fucking cowbell any more.
Cowbells and beating on those inflatable sticks, annoying as hell.

LET ME ADDRESS THE FUMBLE AT THE END.
He did lose control of the ball AT SOME POINT.
The ruling on the field was a fumble, and based on the NON-SLOMO replays, they couldnt overturn it.
GAME OVER. GREAT FXCKING GAME BIZZZZZZZON! (I hate the way u idiots say Bison)

There are plenty of us, most just don't get pulled into the BS... I read alot and it is amaizing we only lost by 124 points to ewu since we were so over matched, also it is insane ewu was able to move the ball on the NFL degence that the bison brought to the pink turf!dbackjon wrote:bison95 wrote: Yes sir!

dude taiwan can move. that boy is fast. however, ewu's qb and receivers are less than desirable.
EWU's d-lineman was solid. It sucks that he was matched up against our true freshman olineman. Good luck to EWU, and btw where the fuch were those officals from. I'm just gonna say, wow.
Also, TJ is as good as advertised, but he is the biggest pussy i;ve ever seen on the football field. He'll get a shot at the league, but the kid is gonna learn how to take a hit.
Some games you get beat and sometimes you piss it down your leg.

Things are crazy here. The attorneys are starting to arrive. A statement is expected in the next several hours.
Ive never seen anything like this. the win is in question.

Just watching the live stats, it was basically "short pass, incomplete, incomplete, 4th. down conversion! Incomplete, incomplete, incomplete, 4th. down conversion! incomplete, 44-yard tip/bobble-drill pass! Incomplete, incomplete, pass interference! Touchdown!"EWURanger wrote:Not that the blizzard conditions and two inches of slush had anything to do with it.........Thumper 76 wrote: Yes.
It's rare to see a QB lead a 2-minute scoring drive when he goes 4/11. Still, it was much better than the rest of the game for Mitchell.
Judging by the stats, it seems EWU played like Montana did against EWU. The Eags found a way to win, though, because they stopped NDSU's running game just long enough & they converted in the redzone in a crucial situation—something the Griz weren't able to do in September.

Not gunna lie here, I think the fumble call was dubious. The PI, however, was a good call.JBB wrote:Things are crazy here. The attorneys are starting to arrive. A statement is expected in the next several hours.

All that aside, it was a good game - not just saying that 'cause my team won. I'd be saying it even if we lost.
Congrats to the Bison on a great season - you guys definitely showed that a 7-4 team can make some serious noise in the playoffs.

To be fair to Mitchell, though - his numbers were somewhat skewed by the fact that EWU just didn't throw a lot in the first half. When Jones has something like 200 yards of rushing in the first half, there's not much need to throw the ball. He also had a couple of perfect balls that were flat-out dropped by his receivers - one of those was in the end zone that went right through the WR's hands.
The shitty conditions in the second half did really have an effect on the passing game, IMO. I thought it was some sort of miracle that they could drive the distance of the field in that amount of time when they could hardly make a completion in the entire half. Crazy game.
