If you did, quit your day job and play the lottery. Or become a prognosticator. Or book a one-way ticket to Vegas (not that I condone such behavior).
A year and a half after he was released from prison, Vick’s redemption continues. NFL Nation is showing they’re believing in his play on the field and willing to forgive Vick’s past mistakes off of it, vaulting him nearly 39,000 votes ahead of Peyton Manning in the second round of balloting released by the league.

No reason to attack Bob Ryan.... and the Manchester Wolves dont even exist anymore. I have no problem with Phildelphians condoning dog killing by voting for that POS, but I think we can all agree Manning needs to stop being voted for.

DAMMIT! I knew I should have chimed in and said 'Cue Travis and his hatred for Manning comments'
DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!

That was kinda the point.... Ryan isn't known for baseball and I did use the word "again" in the Wolves thread. Plus, what does Justin Bieber have to do with this????
... and this is "fans" voting, not "philadelphians." So if voting for a player who is having one of the best seasons of his career, even while sitting out multiple games, means that you condone dog fighting.... then I guess SuperHornet's vote for Bristol Palin on "Dancing With the Stars" condones an negative stance on Gay Marriage.
Seacrest Out.

most of those voting for a player are home town fans... regardless of the player... so I stand by my Philadelphians commentJMU DJ wrote:UNHWildCats wrote: Finally an attack thats relevant to the topic.

Re: BREAKING: Philadelphia Eagle Leads Pro Bowl Fan Vote
There was talk about this on Double XX last night. The host was having problems coming to a resolution between being disgusted over what Vick did and giving a clearly repentant guy a chance to make something of his life. He did note that some people really don't give a rip what a celeb does in private life, and cited the star of his favorite sit-com who's notorious for being with a different hooker every night as an example.
I have a slightly different take on this, though I believe that if a guy of the integrity of Tony Dungy says Vick is reformed, then Vick is reformed. When Vick got caught, he was clearly the villain du jour. By now, so much time has passed that he is not the villain du jour. In fact, we're on the second or third one since. The villain du jour right now is Cam Newton.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Bullshit. When did Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Green Bay join the ranks of the top 5 most populous areas? Funny, I don't see any Giants or Jets on this list...UNHWildCats wrote:most of those voting for a player are home town fans... regardless of the player... so I stand by my Philadelphians comment

There is a severe lack of Colt Anderson on the "Special Teamers" tab of the ballot

I forget. Is that something that can be remedied by a mass write-in campaign? Or are they arrogant enough to think that the people they put on the ballot are the only worthy ones?Silenoz wrote:There is a severe lack of Colt Anderson on the "Special Teamers" tab of the ballot

And JFC...I know it was awful and all and I don't condone it but it was dogs! He did his time, paid his dues. Get the fuck over it. There are guys in the NFL beating their wives, killing people with their cars. People! Human Beings! and they didn't go to jail and it doesn't get brought up in every damn game they play (or played) in.

I hate people who are cruel to animals, and what Vick did is despicable and I will never respect him as a human. However, the Pro Bowl isn't about an athletes private life you stupid fucks. It is about what the player does on the fucking field, not in his back fucking yard.

its never about what they do on the field... just like with all the other sports... the fan voting is nothing more than a fucking popularity contest.... except for those fucks in the NHL... for them its all about Montreal fans cheating the vote....clenz wrote:This times a billion.CatMom wrote:And JFC...I know it was awful and all and I don't condone it but it was dogs! Yet another Eagles game moves to primetime/national slot. Dec 26th vs Minn has been flexed by NBC to Sunday night.
The power of Mike Vick and the fastest offense in the NFL.
There goes my sleep schedule. Again.

I dunno, I haven't spent much time on that site (I usually just try to spam Carpenter/Mariani votes), but I didn't see any sort of write-in optionCatMom wrote:I'd vote for him...can we do that?Silenoz wrote:
