Once you get past High School Football you know that the atmosphere is a "grown up" atmosphere. There are many college kids starting their adult journey. There are also many alumnus and older people at the games as well. It is not a fucking daycare center and if you have kids and you are taking them into this sort of environment then please don't use them as some emotional lightning rod. I don't give a fuck that you have kids and bring them to the game. I will have my fun in the same ways that I always have.
Now if I were the author I would have known that. I however would have immediately with no forethought had someone take the kids out of the way and then took to punching the fucking saliva out of the dude with the problem. This would be done in spite of being outnumbered or anything other possible barriers.
Getting your ass kicked is much less shameful then letting that sort of thing happen if it did indeed happen. You let the perpetrator know that there are indeed consequences the next time he has the idea to pull this sort of stunt and you have made society a better place by handing that lesson out.

Basically, be a goddamn man and stand up for yourself and your daughter. Especially your daughter. Shit its your responsibility as a man to do that. Thats just how I was raised and I'm sure many others on this board (see above) were raised. Don't be a bitch, thats not the securities job or anyone elses, its yours to stand up and beat some wholesale ass even if you are outnumbered, at least you showed your kid that that is not tolerated behavior, and a stain on that fanbase as a whole if that did happen. And if you let that slide, well then you are asking for it for being a goddamn pussy and allowing it. Your the man, and sexist or not its your job to protect your family. If that had happend to me my dad would have had a steel pipe that would have seemed to appear out of nowhere and that person would have been stomped into the mud and left to bleed. First and foremost is kids should be off limits. I stood up for an 8 year old girl supporting Southern Illinois in 2003. I was willing to take on Hen fans in this case. I agree with Thumper. You may get your butt kicked but do so. At the Tub standing up for your daughter against some of the village idiots will get you support from the locals.
GSU has a vocal traveling crowd. Wofford should have figured this out by now. We have only played them 4 times and at Delaware we have figured it out. If GSU punks us at home that is to our shame.
Sour grapes, me thinks....unless the Wofford side of the stands is inhabited by an inordinate amount of pvssies per capita, I imagine the father of an 8-yr old child who was spit upon, BY GSU FANS ON THE WOFFORD SIDE OF THE STADIUM NO LESS, wouldn't have to ask twice for a little physical help at most, and corroboration to the proper authorities at the least. I hear this crap from every fan base. Ga South was the worst, then Marshall, then App St for running a goal post into the GSU bus (that was funny), then Ga South again....perception is reality & we're talking .001% of the fanbase for any school. Open consumption of alcohol in the stands is SOP for football, especially in the bible belt south, so that's a moot point.

Good point. Remember the outrage after the 2007 Championship Game? At least the Wofford fan didn't blame MEAC officials for his team losing.
It is obvious this letter was written by poster "Ruckus" from the Wofford board. He posted the exact same thing the same day as the game on that board. This guy did nothing all week but trash talk GSU fans and tell us he would singlehandedly make sure GSU didn't take over their stadium. However, he was unable to control ticket sales and of the fans in attendance, 2/3rds to 3/4ths were from GSU. This is nothing but sour grapes, period... and sour grapes make the best WHINE!!
I saw 1 person escorted out by police. It was a Wofford student who attempted to start a fight with GSU fans in the restroom line at halftime and then again in the stands. 3 or 4 offices came along and dragged him out very quickly.
Yes, there were open beverages inside the stadium but guess what... THE WOFFORD SECURITY ALLOWED THEM TO COME IN, IN PLAIN SIGHT!! I witnessed multiple GSU AND WOFFORD fans enter the stadium with open containers not stopped by security.
I can promise you, nobody cursed at his 8 year old child and nobody spat on her. That is ridiculous!!!
I met multiple Wofford fans (same as W&M) and have nothing but admiration for them. They were enjoyable pregame and post game (although visibly dejected).
Did I mention this guy claims to be (and quite possibly is) a former player? Seriously, if he is a former player then he should have taken this into his own hands and defended his children, PERIOD. It didn't happen and the Spartenburg paper should be ashamed for printing this trash! Whatever sell I guess.
