Peaceful Islam strikes again!

Islam, Judaism and Christianity all suck dick big time. I aint so much defending islam, but more reminding the author that his religion (christianity) is no better, and considering the massive quantities of weapons of mass destruction at its disposal, is much worse. Also, OUR behaviors, our arrogance and greed and meddling in the affairs of others, have contributed to the problem of the Middle East.

That's a novel theory you have, D. I've only heard it from about 3 million other knuckleheads who think they are somehow enlightened as to the causes of religious violence and everybody else needs to be told over and over and over again, ad nauseum.

We all get it:

Christianity = bad; Christians not qualified to comment on religious violence.
Islam = bad; but gets a pass since it has been oppressed by Chritianity for so long.

Why don't you surprise everybody, think future instead of past (the latter is quite easy, even chimpanzees can do it)?

The truth about my religion isn't known to me because I am pretty much an agnostic. My parents are Christians, so in a Goebbels-esque kind of way I guess that makes me a Christian. You are simply the "Great Potatoes" side of the argument, while possibly AZ is the "live free or DIE" side of the argument. (See George Carlin for the reference.)

I'll be happy to join hands with you and list numerous examples of Christian barbarism if someone will start the relevant thread, but since this one is entitled "Peaceful Islam strikes again!" I think I'll just stay with the topic.

No, denouncing them would be going on national television and saying Osama is a fraud. That extremist views of jihad are a bastardization of the concept. That anyone following their teachings and blowing up innocents isn't going to paradise with the virgins, but to hell on an express bus. When that happens, I'll say they are denouncing extremists. Sitting quietly on the sidelines and not agreeing with them is far from denouncing.

Face it, Islam is a scourge just like Christianity, and the vast majority of it's adherents are at the very least spineless twits, and at the worst, by their lack of vocal and pronounced denunciation of hate and violence in the name of their god, complicit in the bad acts of the extremists.
