I guess here we have our own version of an NDSU fan. Being a dick and a bitter one at that cuts across all our fanbases so please don't hold it against us.mtgrizfankb wrote:Go ewu. I'm glad that you've finally come to cordially accept that the reign of the Griz is over.

It is for this year. But you can have a year or two out of twenty and it's still a reign. I just don't mind giving credit when it's due to another program that is kicking ass.JMU DJ wrote:Ursus A. I've been more and more impressed with Mitchell every week since I watched him here. Good job, Eagles.

It sounds crazy to even say but EWU may be a better team when TJ is out. I think TJ is a rare talent but the team game is better when they are all not relying on the home run hitter out there. BLM knows he has to lead the way he is better, The O line knows they have to be excellent they are better, the D is always solid but they are better and more willing to just knock the shit out of the other guy because they HAVE TO keep the other team down.JALMOND wrote:I've been more and more impressed with Mitchell every week since I watched him here. If they did all of that with TJ in the mix then it would be a nightmare to stop. We may see that in the NC game if TJ can play even limited and the rest of the team can take no comfort in him being there.
I haven't looked but with TJ out I'll bet EWU has less stupid penalties because they are a more focused team.

I think you are gloating.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:
The thing about EWU is the fact they are a tenacious bunch of players. The breaks have gone their way but, as they say, thats part of the game. A football team has to be very, very good to get to the title game.

Villanova is actually a reacharound school. That's who they are, that's what they do

I'd be interested to hear the EWU perspective on this.Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:It sounds crazy to even say but EWU may be a better team when TJ is out. SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
Re: To all the doubters, to all the haters...
There's probably something to that. When you don't have the option of relying on TJ breaking huge runs, I think it has forced the offense to be a lot more balanced. Our QB play has been better in the 3 or so games TJ was out. That said, I hope he can see at least some limited PT In the NC.SuperHornet wrote:I'd be interested to hear the EWU perspective on this.Ursus A. Re: To all the doubters, to all the haters...
I wonder what the prognosis is for Mr. Jones. Watching him hobble around on crutches Friday night isn't a great sign.
Re: To all the doubters, to all the haters...
I watched the play where he got hurt last night. It was late in third qtr I think, the snow had started and Jones was trying to cut back against the BISON defense. He was hit by several defense men as he was trying to cut and his foot rolled under. By the looks of it you might think it would be an ankle but his foot rolled pretty good. He got up limping and he didnt play again. Nobody even knew he was hurt. The announcers said they had replaced him because of the field conditions. They needed a north/south runner not an east/west guy because of the footing.

The Eagles are a fine team, but anyone with half a brain could see Nova was on life support. Started to show up during the second half last week. The Wildcats opened the door numerous times for the Apps in the second half, but our offensive staff was comatose. You guys have had a nice run, but I believe it is about to hit a Blue & Gold wall.
