The Youngstown State Athletic Department is still accepting orders for the Youngstown State at Ohio State Football Game on Sept. 1 in Columbus along with season-ticket orders for an exciting seven-game home slate packed with the most impressive promotional schedule in school history, the department announced on Tuesday.
Also, YSU students will be allowed to purchase tickets ONE-DAY ONLY -- Monday, August 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in person at the Stambaugh Stadium Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets are $65 each and students are required to bring their current/valid YSU Student ID. Students are allowed to purchase just one ticket in person.
As a reminder, there will be no general public sale of YSU at Ohio State tickets.
Penguin Club members at the $400 level (Emperor) or above in the Gridiron Club can purchase and are guaranteed to receive two tickets for the game at Ohio State. Penguin Club members at the $200 level can purchase one ticket for the contest.
The department announced that Penguin Club Membership in the Gridiron Club has increased 15 percent from the previous year since the Ohio State ticket guarantee was established.
Youngstown State football season-ticket packages will remain on sale through the week of the first home game against South Dakota State (Sept. 8). Packages start at just $60 for seven games for general admission while reserved seats are $84 each. Also, season-ticket holders are allowed to participate in a lottery system for YSU-OSU tickets. Season-ticket holders who have been selected via the lottery will be notified soon about their ticket requests.
To purchase season tickets or Penguin Club memberships, fans can visit the YSU Athletic Ticket Office which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Phone orders can be placed and questions can be answered by calling (330) 941-1YSU.
The 2007 season marks the 25th Anniversary celebration of Stambaugh Stadium and the start of the University's year-long Centennial celebration which begins Oct. 20 in conjunction with the Homecoming Game versus Illinois State.
Highlighting this year's home promotional schedule will be two highly-sought-after giveaways -- a Dom Rosselli Bobble Head and a Stambaugh Stadium replica. Also, the first throwback uniform day in school history in honor of the teams of the mid-1980's.
The home opener against South Dakota State (Sept. 8), features the annual schedule magnet giveaway and the first of two B.J. Alan/Phantom Postgame Fireworks shows.
The first-ever meeting with Stony Brook (Sept. 15) will allow Penguins fans to check out the Guins in Throwback Jerseys and Helmets. YSU players will don jerseys close to the ones in the mid-1980's. Also, the "Y" will be replaced by the word "Penguins" on the helmets. The Football Alumni Club hosts their annual Blast Tailgate Party prior to the contest. A special 25th Anniversary Poster highlighting the top 25 YSU players through the first 25 seasons will be given to fans.
Against Lock Haven (Sept. 22) a Dom Rosselli Bobble Head (first 7,500 fans) will be the featured giveaway of the afternoon. The first of two Kid's Tailgate Days will be held prior to kickoff in the Giant Eagle Penguin Party Lot.
The Gateway opener against Missouri State (Sept. 29) will feature the Gia Russa Tailgate Taste in the M-24 prior to the game and the second B.J. Alan/Phantom Fireworks Show following the game. Fans will receive a 25th Anniversary Stadium Cup as the contest's giveaway.
The final non-conference game of the season features a tilt against Southern Utah on Oct. 13. An awesome Stambaugh Stadium replica will be the giveaway for the first 10,000 fans. The replica features both sides of the stadium, the scoreboard and each of the four light towers. Prior to the game the Family Fun Fest will be held in the Giant Eagle Penguin Party Lot.
The Homecoming contest against Illinois State (Oct. 20) marks a special time for the entire campus as the YSU Centennial Celebration officially starts. The year-long celebration will relive the growth of the campus over the 100 years and the prosperous future that lies ahead. The Athletics Department and YSU office of Marketing and Communications is presenting fans with a 25th Anniversary/University Centennial Collectors Book.
The season finale against Western Illinois (Nov. 10) will feature the Team Photo Giveaway and the second annual Football Alumni Club Senior Tunnel.

I think YSU is doing good things with thier promotions. Keep it going..

With our young program, we don't have half that stuff..
The next game is the most important game of the year!!
