Or be 100% effective in stopping this kind of thing, for that matter.BlueHen86 wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:The 51 years are not going to bring the Angels rookie back to life, there needs to be something in place to prevent drunk driving. Are you suggesting that such a program would bring the Angels rookie back to life?

I am suggesting they are punishing the result (aka after the player died) and not preventing the cause (stop the dude from driving drunk in the first place, therefore preventing this from happening).BlueHen86 wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:The 51 years are not going to bring the Angels rookie back to life, there needs to be something in place to prevent drunk driving. Are you suggesting nothing should be done to prevent drunk driving?Grizalltheway wrote:Or be 100% effective in stopping this kind of thing, for that matter.BlueHen86 wrote:

How will that bring the Angels rookie back to life?Gil Dobie wrote:I am suggesting they are punishing the result (aka after the player died) and not preventing the cause (stop the dude from driving drunk in the first place, therefore preventing this from happening).BlueHen86 wrote:

It won't and I never suggested it would.BlueHen86 wrote:How will that bring the Angels rookie back to life?Gil Dobie wrote:

No, just saying that even preventative measures wouldn't necessarily have saved his life.Gil Dobie wrote:Are you suggesting nothing should be done to prevent drunk driving?Grizalltheway wrote:

I guess I'm just a little perturbed at MADD for concentrating on punishing the drunk drivers, or at least raising the publicity on punishment versus preventative measures. Yes there should be punishment, but also preventative measures. And of course none of this will bring the Angels rookie back to life.Grizalltheway wrote:No, just saying that even preventative measures wouldn't necessarily have saved his life.Gil Dobie wrote:

I brought up that 51 years won't bring him back, you brought up that the program would bring him back to life.BlueHen86 wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:The 51 years are not going to bring the Angels rookie back to life, there needs to be something in place to prevent drunk driving. I asked you why you even mentioned the 51 years. What does it have to do with the rest of your post or the point that you were trying to make?Gil Dobie wrote:I brought up that 51 years won't bring him back, you brought up that the program would bring him back to life.BlueHen86 wrote:

I had an answer, you didn't get it though.BlueHen86 wrote:I asked you why you even mentioned the 51 years. What does it have to do with the rest of your post or the point that you were trying to make?Gil Dobie wrote:

You bring the thread back after four days, and you still don't have an answer. Take as much time as you need. Something tells me 51 years won't bring out an answer.
