OSU/Arkansas

Post by ∞∞∞ »

Did my eyes deceive me, or did Ohio State just run a play with no time left in the 3rd quarter?

I thought that rule applied at the end of halfs and games, not 1st and 3rd quarters...

That was a terrible call on that safety.

Reminded me of the "fumble" by Cadet on the punt return against Richmond last year.

I don't think it was that bad of a call. If the original tackler would have held on, they would have given the runner forward progress. But it appeared that the runner broke that tackle, and was free for a brief moment.

Actually, yeah... you are right.
V. A6 has the ball in his possession and is not controlled by an opponent,
as he dives over the 50-yard line, which is the line to gain for a first
down, and is forced back across the 50-yard line. A6 continues to run
and is tackled at Team A’s 49-yard line, where any part of his body
except his hand or foot strikes the ground. RULING: No first down.
The point of forward progress is Team A’s 49-yard line.
Good call by the refs.

Please. They got tattoos for giving out their autographs...don't think the whole team deserves "karma" for that.

this is just me, but I think if a team gets a delay of game penalty, the flag should be thrown and the time should be put back on the clock and stopped. Not because of this game, just a thought in general

Picked off. Game over. Tressel tried like hell to give Arkansas the game. Jesus you had 279 yards passing at the half and you go away from it...*cough* Robin Pflugrad *cough*.

BTW, that wasn't even close to being a safety.

Also, suck it AZ.

Mallet absolutely sucks under pressure. He has a hell of an arm and a great touch on the ball... but, he lacks the brain power. I'd stay away from him if I were an NFL team.

This is what happens when you fall on a punt block. Always go for the scoop and score. :coffee:
Mallet looked like shit...and so did his receivers. Pryor looked good. Maybe someone will draft him as a RB.

Tell that to all the other kids that were suspended for similar things. It's a stupid rule... but, you can't enforce it differently with different teams.

Both teams did everything they could to lose that game, Pryor only managed one completion in the second half. Kinda fitting that one of the guys who should have been suspended for this game ended up with the game clinching interception.

Yup. And the announcer said it was one of those players who had the game sealing INT.

Haha yeah. Good thing the Sugar Bowl guy successfully lobbied for the NCAA to delay the suspensions. This game isn't even close with those 5 guys sitting tonight.

Man.. the Sugar Bowl begs to have suspended players play so their ratings don't dip.. and they win the Sugar Bowl. Win/win for Ohio State.
