"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

No matter how you feel about Bush's legacy, (Cheney's self-selection as VP, Enron, gazing into Putin's eyes, bin Laden still free, axis of evil, freedom fries, Guantanamo, Patriot Act, bin Laden still free, extraordinary rendition, Valerie Plame, yellowcake, shock and awe, bin Laden still free, indefinite detention, Mission Accomplished, Halliburton, Blackwater, bin Laden still free, Abu Ghraib, Pat Tillman, Jessica Lynch, swiftboating, waterboarding, bin Laden still free,Terry Schiavo, stem cell research, tax cuts for corporate failures, domestic suveillance, telecom immunity, bin Laden still free, Hurricane Katrina, Karl Rove and Jeff Gannon, collapse of capitalism, taxpayer bailouts, bin Laden still free ), you gotta agree that political cartoonists will forevermore refer to his reign as "the Golden Age".

Because the Iraq war has been such a success for our country.... and he threatened America or the surrounding middle east nations how.....? It'd almost be better if he was alive in some sense (or at least if the Baath party was still in control), Islamic fundamentalist hated him and Saddam hated them and didn't want them in Iraq (made some bad moves trying to do that obviously)... looks like America and Saddam were on the same page about Islamic Fundamentalist. Golly gee, and I thought we were going to Iraq to find the terrorist... they weren't even there until after Saddam was out of power.

I wasn't debating the validity of the Iraq war, junior. That's been beaten to DEATH here. My comment was in response to your comment that he'd never made anybody stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I'd say that Sadaam Hussein would disagree with you.JMU DJ wrote:AZGrizFan wrote: Yeah. Never mind that Hussein is up there right now, with his 72 virgins.![]()

Succesfully? Hell, he won two terms and kept the real shit for brains, Rummy, in charge of shredding all semblance of respect for the Pentagon for 6 years....I'd say Bush was the succesful one....successful in getting just enough people to wrap a flag around the cross and drink the koolaid....BigApp wrote:a big part of his "legacy" will be that so many tried (sucessfully) to undermine the man:
