Roll Call - Frisco
Roll Call - Frisco
So who's making the trip?
My dad and I are taking off from BWI to DFW tomorrow morning. Staying in North Dallas. Plan to see Cowboys Stadium and Dealey Plaza tomorrow, then steak dinner with an old military buddy, then up to Frisco for the night-before bar scene with UD fans. Friday AM get my sign ready (slogan is top secret). Friday noon, arrive at stadium to tailgate. Game. Celebrate another national championship at local bars with fellow Hen faithful. Wakeup somewhere. Pancakes. Some more sightseeing. Head to airport, leaving 2pm Sat.

Tip from last night's OSU/UA game on ESPN - best way to get on TV:93henfan wrote:Friday AM get my sign ready (slogan is top secret).
Hold up a sign that says, "We love ESPN camera men". They showed the gal holding that sign several times.
Re: Roll Call - Frisco
I'll be there. Flying out of Hartford 5:30 tonight. Flying back to UA vs. Hartford MBB game on Sunday, then catching a ride back to Albany after the game. My son lives in Allen, so it's a short ride over to the game. Going with my Son, Daughter in law and grandaughter, so I don't know how early I'll be a game. Maybe I'll get my son to drive me over to the tailgate and he can bring the rest of the family over later. This will be my first NC game. Really looking forward to it. As it will be in Frisco at least 3 years and my Son lives nearby, I'm hoping to make every year it's there.

I expect ALL I-AA fans that live in Texas to be there, along with numerous others on this board who said they would go no matter who played in the game. Kudos to WWII for keeping his word.
BTW, both of my brothers will be there.

I am not. Was at the Winter Classic last weekend and have to go to AC for work in two weeks. Plus I used not going as an excuse to buy a new TV to watch it on. Hooked it up last night and am ready.State Line Liquors wrote:You making it down there 89?

Fly out of BWI tomorrow at 6am. Staying in nearby Lewisville TX. Will probably be out tailgating around noon Friday as well. I know our seats are in section 127, but I don't know exactly where. Go Hens!

Probably end of February for reasons exactly like this (can't get a day off).89Hen wrote:I thought you're starting a new job in a couple weeks.danefan wrote:

Haven't told my current job yet though becuase I'm waiting to finish the negotiations with the new company. Then I have to give 1 months notice to my current firm. So I'll be here until about Mid-Feb at least with hopefully a week off to refresh.
Re: Roll Call - Frisco
You're beating me out of BWI by an hour. I am in 128, row 2. That'll be on the left 40 as you're watching on TV, or right 40 from our vantage point in the stands. I'll be the drunk guy with the big head.GoBlueHens83 wrote:Fly out of BWI tomorrow at 6am. Staying in nearby Lewisville TX. Will probably be out tailgating around noon Friday as well. You are going to need to be way more specific.93henfan wrote:You're beating me out of BWI by an hour. I am in 128, row 2. Re: Roll Call - Frisco
It really does suck that the Cotton Bowl is the same day. Without that I think you would have seen a really goood turnout (20,000+).
Oh well I guess.

I dunno exactly. Was thinking about whatever place UD is sanctioning. Lochran's or something like that? Then if it blows, just skip to the next place. How bout you? I'm easily swayed.bluehenbillk wrote:I'm there - leaving BWI tomorrow at 2:35pm. Seats in Sec 129, Row 14. 93 where you going tomorrow night?

I heard Lochran's on Friday for the celebration may be the plan. Thursday some people are doing Fox Sports Grille & their is a Marriott at Legacy Park too, still figuring out.93henfan wrote:I dunno exactly. Was thinking about whatever place UD is sanctioning. Yeah, reading GoHens it appears the Courtyard Marriot at Legacy Park (Plano) may be the spot tomorrow night. We'll probably just hop around until something looks good. Plano is closer to where we're staying than Frisco, so that's a good thing.bluehenbillk wrote:I heard Lochran's on Friday for the celebration may be the plan. Ooh. Ooh. I want a gold star too. This is my eleventh game. Six regular season home games (missed Towson), three home playoff games, @UMass and Frisco.jd of de wrote:Arrive Friday AM with the wife*. Section 126-row 15. Also planning on Lochran's post game.
