I'm guessing they'd be able to beat Lehigh, that's for sure...
Good Lord man. This thread isn't about making sense, it is about piling on that sunglasses wearing, FBS transfer accepting, reach around granting, pud yanker of a coach UD has that will soon be promoted.

Dang, dude.
Oh c'mon and just admit it's kind of hilarious that they lost to Lehigh in the dome.
Pardon me. Almost time to board my flight to Texas...

Hey...this doesn't have anything to do with Roper not working out for you guys and Hauck jumping ship would it? Gotta love the out of touch Montana fans...You wanted Bobby out...he's out...You took Roper from Oregon, he played, he wasn't a Montana recruit. You sound like Mets fans who bad mouth Yankee fans about free agents when they themselves have 5 guys from their far system who actually play.
How bout this for homegrown...KC won a NC as a player and as a coach for UD...

KC to UConn ... Nope. Tubby is his mentor/hero and UConn can't out-recruit the likes of Pitt, UWV, TCU and Syracuse. KC to Michigan ... Yep. This carrot is big enough to pry him out of Newark but it doesn't matter unless Harbaugh turns down the job, which he won't.

1. Harbaugh isn't going to Michigan.
2. Neither is Keeler.

transfer QB - yes
KC - nope, guy's an unmitigated azz and he wouldn't go over well with the good, honest, hard-working people from the heartland of America.

Well, we now know at least one person from the heartland of America who isn't honest.

They hired RichRod didn't they?
Keeler said in the paper that in 07, if Rodriguez hadn't taken the job, Michigan was going to interview him for it, but that even if they had offered him the job, he would have had to think before taking it. I don't think Michigan will offer him, I think they need a proven commodity (at 1A).

I've been living in Chicago for 22 years and have obviously been corrupted.
Honestly, I don't like Keeler and don't think I would want him to coach my own kids or represent my university. I could be wrong and if one of my own kids had a chance and was interested in playing for him I would give him the benefit of the doubt and meet him to see what kind of character and integrity he has. Winning is important but how you win is also important. From what I know of both of them, I would take Farley over Keeler despite Keeler's greater success on the field.

Farely's a good coach no arguement here...KC can be a little cocky but what Head Coach isn't arrogant...the Dude loves UD and his players...and from most of his former players, even the ones Tubby recruited but played for KC, have liked him. At least the ones who post on our message boards anyway.
KC doesn't go to UConn...it's a basketball first school...he doesn't want to play second fiddle.
KC doesn't go to Michigan...his history of taking transfers vs. developing HS QB's, the fact that he's not a "Michigan Guy," which I've heard now more time sthan I care too, and the fact that they don't want the SPREAD anywhere near UM will end that discussion.

According to Yahoo!, Harbaugh interviewed with the Whiners yesterday. That makes two Whiner interveiws that I know of (former UOP QB Hue Jackson is the other). Does that mean Harbaugh takes that job? I'm not sure. The draw to Michigan will be huge, and there will be at least SOME draw to staying put. What does that mean for Keeler? Sure, Michigan would mean a bigger paycheck. But he's doing good things at Delaware, so that's going to be hard to walk away from.

...Which is exactly why you will continue to watch others play for championships. I hope Farley stays UNI coach for life!
Too bad that you know jack squat about Keeler. You've never met the guy and seem to know nothing about him as a coach or a representative of a university. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that you've got an axe to grind with him because your team is 0-2 against KC's Hens.
I don't know why UNI fans hate him so much...I don't remember him ever slamming UNI...in fact I've heard him say many times that the '07 UNI team is the best team he's ever played since he coached the Hens.

I pretty much admitted that I don't know much about Keeler other than the image that he has presented in the media and from what I've seen he's been a little turd who whines when things don't go his way. I also stated that if one of my kids had an opportunity to play for him I would "give him the benefit of the doubt and meet him to see what kind of character and integrity he has". IMO, there is more to being a college football coach than winning. You have a responsibility to the players to help them develop the work ethic and integrity to succeed in life. I want to win but I also want a coach who is a role model for his players and represents my university well.
I also have no doubt that it is a matter of time before Farley and UNI win a championship.

Thankfully I wasn't drinking anything when I read that line!!!!!!!!! Priceless!!!!!!
Oh ye of little faith, how long has it been since many would have had the same reaction to the possibility of Moore ever winning a championship at App St?

yeah, but they never lost a home playoff game to Lehigh leading up to their title runs. I mean, seriously, Lehigh??
I can't see how Keeler could have ever been in a position where UNI could hear him complain about anything other than the weather getting out of town...he would have a lot of company in that club.

You obviously never heard about the game film debacle where Keeler berated a student working for the university and then threatened to take his ball & pacifier and go home if he could only find a way to get home.
And that wasn't the first and probably won't be the last time that weather plays a role in UNI vs. UD.
