Boise? Really? Boise who barely beat Va. Tech? Boise whose second-best win is Hawaii, who got blown out by Colorado and Tulsa? Whose third best win is Fresno State who was blown out by Northern Illinois and lost to Ole Miss? Good grief, I understand folks around here hate the BCS (and I do to) but pretending Boise State isn't the fraud they are does nothing to help the cause.

Boise is no fraud. They have gotten the job done on the field the last few years and it's not like they are ducking anyone. They are a legit team.

very good, if not great, but after last night, just very good. Boise and TCU ran through a sucky league too...I should be fair to Virginia tech as well

It's all good, TCU and Boise are great teams. There's a reason why VaTech struggles against top 5 teams and it's more than just the league they play in.

I personally can understand why people wouldn't want to have them in the top 10 because they haven't beaten anybody, but I think they are a top 10 team because of how they play

Uh, considering Boise could only barely beat a VT team that Stanford worked over, that shows that Stanford is better than Boise.

teams change over the course of a season, losing to Boise is respectable, losing to JMU is unacceptable but due to the circumstances it is at least understandable. Teams change over the year, if I'm not mistaken there were only a couple games this year outside of the ones they lost that were decided by less than double digits.

...at least understandable??? They went to a BCS bowl game, reaped millions, and lost to an FCS team. That's not understandable, it's BS. They're not a good team, and it was exposed vs. the team that should have been in their place, Boise, and the 2nd place team from the PAC10.

Oh, VT is a good team, you don't win 11 straight (out of a bad BCS league) and not be a good team. The thing is, to be in a BCS bowl, you should have a great team, which VT wasn't.

Who did Boise beat that was a great team? No one. Barely beating VT and losing to Nevada proved they definitely aren't a legit top 10 that deserved to be in a BCS game. Legit top 20? Yeah, probably. With that said, VT and UConn didn't deserve to be in BCS games either.
