If there is any such thing as equilibrium in the universe, I hope you are enjoying the high because the other half of the equation is no fun at all. That was the most gut-wrenching defeat I've ever witnessed. I'd take a thousand blowout losses to App State over a game getting snatched away like that.

Thanks 93. Not that it will help any, but we do know [somewhat] what you guys are feeling like. It wasn't the championship game, but in 2004 in the QFs after having beat #1 SIU on the road, hosting SHSU, we were up by 20 (missed XP earlier in the game) in the 4th quarter. Prevent defense. They came back and kicked the winning PAT with a couple seconds left. Unfortunately you will never forget it, but it does get easier.

Both teams certainly deserved to be in that game. Delaware has a great squad. I'm just so proud of our guys for never quitting, and always seeming to do the impossible, all season long. Made for some stressful yet entertaining 4th quarters this year... Montana, Sac State, UNC, SUU, NDSU, Nova, and now Delaware. This team battled, and for that I am extremely grateful and proud. Go EAGLES!, and congrats BLUE HENS, for a great season, and a great game.

93, I feel your pain. The change in mood on the Montana sideline last year in Chatty from halftime to the end of the game was absolutely gutwrenching and like nothing I've ever witnessed (and hope to never witness again). Personally, I think I'd rather not make the playoffs, or lose early, than to get to the NC game and crap out.

Just wanted to extend a congrats to the UD fans on this board on a great season. You had an incredible team this year. It sucks that someone had to lose a game like that, but there's no doubt in my mind of the quality of program you have - great coaches, players, and fans and a solid tradition.

After watching Hurricane Sczur roll through Boone I thought Nova was the team again, but the Eag's pretty much shrugged off. I guess the red field paid off somehow Enjoy the win and NC Eagle fans!

I don't even know if he realizes that he's doing it BH86. He did pretty much the same thing to me after the Griz/EWU game in texts and shit. He knows that these losses are tough on the psyche but when in the winning position forgets that aspect. I made sure when he was in Missoula and EWU lost that I did nothing like that knowing that it really sucks but the very next year the same courtesy was not extended back to me. Since he's a good guy in all other aspects that I know of I mentioned it and let it go but there is no reason to be shitty about winning.

Well, there is a reason if the loser is being shitty and trying to make excuses or somehow denigrate the win but not in this case where you're trying to congratulate the victors.
