Tom DeLay gets 3 years in prison:

Post by Skjellyfetti »

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay will serve three years in prison on his November conviction on money laundering and conspiracy charges, a Texas judge ruled Monday.
Judge Pat Priest sentenced DeLay to three years on the conspiracy charge and five years on the money-laundering charge. But the judge will allow DeLay to serve 10 years probation with community service on the laundering charge in lieu of the prison sentence, and the two sentences will be served concurrently.

I like that his lawyer (?) appears to be wearing a cowboy hat in the courtroom.

One of my clients was roommates with Delay in college.

He sent me a text about this that read, "Prison is where Tom is going to find the real "Hammer"

Eh, none of the article I read say where he is being sentenced to, but he'll be likely going to a minimum security Club Fed. They segregate those high profile prisoners anyway. Odds that some Bubba pops him in the poop chute is probably pretty low.

Like most rabidly anti-gay republicans, he fantasizes about having his fudge packed. I think he'll do a little experimenting and be a whole different person three years from now when he "comes out" of prison. He'll be a better person, too, once he stops being ashamed of who he is.

I don't know, Rob Newhouse esq. says you get sent to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison for money laundering. Ask Michael Bolton.
