Seriously, I don't think most people, outside of Palin-philes, really think she's terribly bright. She picked a phrase that does in an inelegant way refer to falsely blaming someone for a death, so although it was an awkward way to say it, it's not incorrect.

But it's a whole other matter to take a poorly worded phrase and try to attach a whole host of other meanings to it, as KY is doing here. Seriously, what is the left's maniacal fascination with this woman? From the initial blaming of her and her crosshair map for this tragedy (largely proven to be false as the whacko who committed this tragedy may not even have known a thing about Palin) to now accusing her of in a twisted way being anti-Semitic (which she may be, who knows, but you can't tell from this) is just really sad and silly. She's not going to be the Republican nominee - let it go. She's going to be involved and she may be a king-maker of sorts, but she won't be on the ticket. There are plenty of other things worth worrying about in this world than trumped up ideas of how evil Sarah Palin is. Just saying.

I'm just being honest with ya, JD. I do not own a TiVO and I never watch more than a few second of Olbermann of Maddow, or listen to more than a few minutes of Rush. Did I ever start an Olbermann thread? Can't recall.

If you say that you do not listen to Rush, I believe you. Why would I not? You are may sometimes be stubborn and one-sided, but not irrational or malicious like so many of your leftie buddies. I enjoy your thoughts when you calm down and get a little serious.

My favorite current events activities are to read the articles and analyses from Real Clear Politics, Sabato's Crystal Ball, Pew, and Rasmussen.

As for TV, I spend more time on CNBC than FNC. The wheels have fallen off of MSNBC, which I avoid, but I also enjoy comparing Fox and CNN coverage of events.

I can't name the countless times that a post will pop up in the morning or afternoon by one of the resident Conservative posters about something stupid the liberals did, only to do a little google research to get more info on the topic only to find out it was the topic of the latest Rush, Hannity or Beck rant.

I read a similar condemnation of her today and thought it was fairly weak. That being said, she has no one to blame but herself for the limelight. She might be unjustly accussed, but I think that falls short of her being a victim.

I'm not implying she's a victim. Unjustly accused is certainly moving it toward victim-hood. She has shown the light on herself and scrutiny is fair game with that but manufacturing **** ups with her is not even close to necessary.

It's not just Sarah Palin. It is 30-40% of the electorate that has been falsely and maliciously accused.

Well duhhh. I'm not talking about a million conks all simultaneously coming to the conclusion that Obama is bad m'kay? It's the subtle connect the dots theories that are the most precious. And btw, this thread is a very good example from the left of the same thing. So I guess both sides do it, it's just that Rush, Beck, and the like should be admired for doing it much much better.
