Hey, CatMom!
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is stepping down next year. Why don't you run? You'd have a ready-made group of athletic supporters right here at CS.com!

I don't know but she seems very smart and would probably notice what the Dem controlled congress has done to the country.

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... nder-bush/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; When Bush took office, the national debt was $5.73 trillion. When he left, it was $10.7 trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion, almost $1 trillion more than what Emanuel said.
Of course the Dems took over in 2007, and even if you want to disregard the Bush spending increases they were dealing with like wars, prescription drug programs, Homeland Security, Bush was still responsible for $3 Trillion.

Both sides now cut taxes and spend.

What's so dang hard to understand here? Eliminate taxes for the top 2% income class, and all corporate taxes, then they will make so much more money that the tax revenue will increase.kalm wrote:I can hardly wait for the Republicans to put our fiscal house in order.Bronco wrote:I don't know but she seems very smart and would probably notice what the Dem controlled congress has done to the country.

Having Mom as a part of her handle I would assume that she's concerned that all this Progressive/socialist debt will have an adverse effect on the younger generation.
An example is raising the debt ceiling that is being debated. The debt we had in 2006 is peanuts compared to what they have done to our children's future.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure,” he said on March 16, 2006. “Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership . Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit.”

Yes Bronco, but what about all of the conservative/free market debt we've incurred?Bronco wrote:Having Mom as a part of her handle I would assume that she's concerned that all this Progressive/socialist debt will have an adverse effect on the younger generation.
