Earlier in the season the Saints beat the Seahawks by a large margin 34-19, and we just beat them. It's not outrageous to think that a Green Bay team that was tied with Atlanta in the final minutes ultimately losing by only 3, in Atlanta, can do much better than that in a rematch, with a lot more on the line. Like you said, the regular season game between the two has no bearing, right? It's a whole new season; Atlanta is 0-0, and Green Bay is 1-0, after having already gone on the road and beat a good Philly team. Don't get your panties in a twist because Biermann's team that you've latched onto (because Montana doesn't have an NFL team) isn't a world-beater. The Packers/Falcons matchup will come down to the wire, as both teams have a pretty equal chance of winning. :twocents:

It's easy to understand. GB is the hottest team in football right now.

Green Bay by 10+

I agree with what you are saying here SE.

My earlier point was people argued with me based on the fact that Atlanta only won by 3. That should have no bearing on what is going to happen Saturday. Being that Atlanta is at home I think they will win. Will I be shocked if Green Bay wins? Hell no. If Atlanta doesn't win then I will be cheering for Green Bay the rest of the way.

Sorry if it came across as though I was bitter or something (panties firmly unbunched).

Again, beating Philly by 5, thanks to two missed field goals does not a hot team make.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but one game does not determine if a team is hot or cold...

Like someone said, take in account their last 4 games and you get the hottest team in the NFC right now.

No one said a hot team has to blow out every team they play...Based on the fact that the Packers may have found their running game, just in time, makes them the most dangerous team in the NFC.

Even without a running, I would rather have Rodgers and that defense over anything anyone else offers...

The Bears still Suck

Would love to see Seattle upset them, but would also like to see a Packers/Bears playoff game.

As far as Atlanta, they have a balanced offence, good run defense, but the passing defense is their weakness. Green Bay will probably not have a great day on the ground, but could find enough success in the air to beat the Falcons. Pretty confindent the Packers defense can hold the Falcons in the 20 point range. Ryan is looking for his first playoff win, Rodgers had his last week, and they are good friends off the field. Should be interesting.

Tough night for Atlanta. Can't help but think of Georgia Southern everytime they show Brian Van Gorder.

As I said before, I am not surprised by this. I am disappointed in Atlanta however. Playing like they just don't want to win. Very similar to the Ravens earlier.

How can you not be surprised by this? A GB win was not unexpected, but I don't think anyone thought they would blow Atlanta out.

Yep, a 6 seed looking like a 1 seed playing at a division winner with a losing record.

I just meant I wasn't surprised about GB pulling out a win. Obviously them putting up 40+ on Atlanta is a shocker.

Yeah, that was definitely a rough game. We gave up running the football way too early and didn't do a good job putting consistent pressure on Cutler. The dropped pick on the goal line at the beginning of the game was huge. Oh well, I didn't even expect us to get this far and if nothing else it was fun getting to see us play another game this season. Good luck to both Chicago and Green Bay next week.
