Col., I like your style a lot and the way you do not look to others to do things. You take it upon yourself to do something that you believe in. I don't know much about this organization but only have a couple of questions anyway.

1. Does this group help all across the country?
2. Does all of the money go to moms needing the help? In other words it doesn't go into a religious kitty of some kind?

If yes to those questions then I'd like you to give the money you were sending to me this weekend to this group. I'll email the other guys to do the same with their portions if they choose instead of sending it to me.
It was started here in Northern Virginia...and is now has a couple of houses...

It is a Catholic-sponsored organization, but the faith of the woman who come to the homes is not an issue...the only thing the Stefan homes are attempting to do is support a pregnant woman bring her child to full term and then assist in either helping the woman get set up for life or get the child successfully adopted...

From your site Hogan. Not true. Catholic brainwashing factory.
Inspired by Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the miraculous birth of Paul Stefan James  , we, her community of servants, extend our caring arms to lovingly assist young women and their pre-born babies by providing homes of safe haven where they will receive the spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological support and nourishment necessary for their further growth and development.

Sounds great Col. Mrs89 and I support a similar organization on our side of the creek. We take dinner up there regularly for the support meetings they have.

You're right Hen. My apology.

Yes, your stance is clear but your reasoning, IMO, is flawed. Again, untill you can get pregnant, you're stance really doesn't matter much. To echo Appaholic, if women decide to make it illegal, then I will stand by their decision.

If we left all decisions only up to those who are directly affected, we'd never have laws of any kind.

I understand and you're right in many cases. Here though, I think we have better laws. Hey, we'll never agree on this, but I will tell you that I respect your opinion and your voice, as long as women aint harrassed. I'm also aware catholics are pretty level headed and are one of the few religious orgs who will go to great lengths to substantially support women during and after pregnancy.

Would be great if you guys dropped the birth control nonsense that ironically creates many of these problems.

1) Abortion and Doctor being associated with each other is somewhat of a paradox, if not oxymoron.

2)I don't care about the pro-life/pro-choice discussion. As far as I'm concerned, RVW was wrong, and abortion should come down to states rights. I'm not a woman, nor would I endorse abortion in really any case. At the same time, I don't want a woman's right, or anyone's right, to PRIVACY violated for slippery slope reasons (yes it's weak sauce I know), and that's one tough cookie to crumble when dealing with abortion. It doesn't make a difference to me whether or not it is legal or not because if I father a child it isn't going to be an option so it's not going to effect me. Making abortion illegal won't stop it from happening, just like making drugs and guns illegal is unpractical. Legislatively it should be dealt with on the most local of levels as our federal government has proven incompetent any regulating anything

If I take your meaning correctly...

the flaw in this is to suggest that a woman in Orem, UT has, owing to "local control" less of a right than a woman in Milwaukee, WI...

the supremacy clause and the 14th Amendment are real, and apply to ALL Americans...
