Well, we have a Riyahd, Seon, and a Zay 'supposedly' signing tomorrow. Hope that will do.
I know of 15 commits we have, so far. Now, that doesn't fill all the supposed available scholarships. But, I don't know if they are planning on spreading the rest to players who were previously on half-schollies, or keeping their options open.
Of the 15, we got 4 - 2 stars and 4 - 3 stars. Never happened before. And have several that were offered by Big Boys and BCS schools that decided to head to San Marcos.
Course we lost a really good one to New Mexico because he couldn't meet our admission standards
Countryside had perhaps the biggest signing day class of any school in the bay area with 10 athletes from four sports. The biggest news came at the end of the ceremony when linebacker Terry Johnson, the Times' Pinellas County Defensive Player of the Year, decided on Youngstown State over Colorado State.
Hernando's Thomas Bronson commits to Appalachian State
Hernando's Thomas Bronson, the St. Petersburg Times' North Suncoast defensive player of the year for the 2010 season, has committed to Appalachian State.

Not sure if I'd characterize them as "bully techniques" but it sure sounds like there was some pressure from Nova, which is very common from teams at the FCS and lower FBS levels to try and avoid this situation.
this is the third or fourth time ferentz has jumped in on a kid after he committed to Nova. no surprise there.
Word is that Canzeri is going to Iowa afterall. Ended up with offers from Iowa, UConn and Buffalo.
Heard we signed 30 total kids + 5 JUCO's already enrolled; so a total of 35 recruits!
YSU's biggest critic from our area is a guy named Paladin. Most local fans hate the guy for his constant criticism of YSU Sports. However he said something that should open some eyes for our friends in the MVFC. Paladin said the following of the 9 JUCO's we signed who he believes can all start right away, "If these guys are coming, this is the best JUCO class in 15-20 years, bar none. Absolutely outstanding."

GSU's class includes Xavier, Antonio, Tre'shard, Nic, Seon, Dominique, Emmanuel, Manrey, Riyahd, Prince, Quan, and Antwoine... so it was a GREAT class.

MSUBear, rate YSU's class, but I recommend you watch the film on our recruits before you judge. We don't need stars to get the wins. Great recruiting class by YSU!

Oh believe me, we at MSU know that all too well.
Our last two classes have had some wildly good ratings, and what has that gotten for us? Of course, TA also redshirts 99% of our players, so we will see what the future holds.
clenz wrote:Another signing period another thread about how great MSU and YSU's recruiting classes are.
Like I said, if Paladin on the YSU boards says we are going to have a winning season, odds are it is likely to happen. He is the town grinch over on letsgoguins.com and is constantly ripping on YSU sports. Again, for him to compliment YSU's recruiting, that tells you something.
Of course we could have another thread about how you guys are going to fold again in the playoffs for the 21st+ time, or whatever it is lol!
