Was that the year Favre lost to the Super Bowl Champions in OT, in the NFC Championship game?UNHWildCats wrote:Brady now has the two highest vote totals in MVP voting history, he won the 2007 award by a 49-1 vote. Whoever voted for Favre in 2007 should be banned from ever voting again

voting is done before playoffs... tell me how someone can justify voting for Favre over a guy who set records while leading a team to the first ever 16-0 regular season... THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION!Gil Dobie wrote:Was that the year Favre lost to the Super Bowl Champions in OT, in the NFC Championship game?UNHWildCats wrote:Brady now has the two highest vote totals in MVP voting history, he won the 2007 award by a 49-1 vote. Hell, he's a millionaire athlete married to an unbelievably gorgeous Brazilian supermodel...Super Bowl or not, I'd trade places with the guy in a heartbeat.UNHWildCats wrote:Grizalltheway wrote:Enjoy the game tonight, Tom.![]()

Must be someone with a lust for Favre, because no one could possibly hate Brady more than Favre.... could they???Gil Dobie wrote:Just pulling your chain Travis, pointing out the Patriots didn't finish. Probably someone that has lust for Favre or hates Brady.

Well, if you take a poll in Columbus Ohio, Brady would probably lose.UNHWildCats wrote:Must be someone with a lust for Favre, because no one could possibly hate Brady more than Favre.... could they???Gil Dobie wrote:

I'd trade too. First I'd tap that ass, then I would tell her to make me a sammich while I go get my hair cut.Grizalltheway wrote:Hell, he's a millionaire athlete married to an unbelievably gorgeous Brazilian supermodel...Super Bowl or not, I'd trade places with the guy in a heartbeat.UNHWildCats wrote:![]()

well thats not totally accurate... He already has 3.clenz wrote:Well, that vote and a bag of chips will get Brady....a bag of chips and still no super bowl.
Yet...none of those could get him past those pesky fucking Jets...who got lucky because there is no way the Jets can beat the Pats...right?UNHWildCats wrote:well thats not totally accurate... I never said the Jets couldn't beat the Patriots... I said and still say there is no evidence the Jets are better than the Pats, just as there is no evidence the Pats are better than the Jets... For the foreseeable future, those games will be tossups each time they play... both teams are VERY good teams.clenz wrote:Yet...none of those could get him past those pesky fucking Jets...who got lucky because there is no way the Jets can beat the Pats...right?UNHWildCats wrote: well thats not totally accurate... Both losses to the Jets this season were played sloppy by the Patriots and mistakes cost them, the results easily could have been reversed, so yes while the Jets did win two games to one, they have hardly proved they are a better team.clenz wrote:I think there is evidence the Jets are better than the Pats.....two games to one

You did see the playoff game, correct? I have no dog in this argument, but geez, the Jets thumped the Pats in that game. Brady deserves the MVP for the year but man, have you ever seen an MVP look so bad in a playoff loss as he did? The Jets had their way with the Pats in that game, all day. Pretty hard argument to try to make that the Pats are better than the Jets after that thrashing.UNHWildCats wrote:Both losses to the Jets this season were played sloppy by the Patriots and mistakes cost them, the results easily could have been reversed, so yes while the Jets did win two games to one, they have hardly proved they are a better team.clenz wrote:I think there is evidence the Jets are better than the Pats.....two games to one
Look at it this way. Indiana State beat UNI this season and currently are 12-12. UNI is 18-7. Lets say UNI wins all remaining games except for its second Indiana State game and Indiana State loses the rest of its games except the UNI game. UNI would finish 23-8 and Indiana State 13-17. UNI would potentially be going to the NCAA tournament and Indiana State will be looking towards next season... Does that mean Indiana State is a better team, or perhaps unusual events for UNI happened in the game.
had the Jets destroyed the Patriots in both games and the outcome was never in doubt after the half, than you might have a legitimate argument, but not now.

Take away the uncharacteristic INT he threw and the botched fake punt, two mistakes that were uncommon for the 2010 Patriots and the outcome would very much be in doubt. It wasn't anywhere near the thrashing you make it out to be.GannonFan wrote:You did see the playoff game, correct? I have no dog in this argument, but geez, the Jets thumped the Pats in that game. Come on, man, the Jets dominated the lines of scrimmage all day. The Pats lost that game in the trenches. They couldn't get in on Sanchez and they couldn't keep people off of Brady. Every yard was a struggle for the Pats in that game. They were lucky to be as close as it was.UNHWildCats wrote:Take away the uncharacteristic INT he threw and the botched fake punt, two mistakes that were uncommon for the 2010 Patriots and the outcome would very much be in doubt. The Jets offense wasn't exactly explosive either. But lets look at the two mistakes the Pats made that Tatally changed the entire game.GannonFan wrote:Come on, man, the Jets dominated the lines of scrimmage all day.
