Sorry About That
6,000-9,000 ticket holders wont be allowed admission to the game tonight because the fire department had not authorized the temporary seating area. Those ticket holders will receive triple face value refund of their ticket.

Re: Sorry About That
apparently the first number was inflated by someone. Peter King just tweeted only about 400 fans wont get in. another 850 were given equal or better seats.Grizalltheway wrote:I thought they had the option of sitting somewhere else (where that would be, I have no idea)

Even this lifelong Cowboys fan would agree with that. I'm STILL bitter over what he did to Danny White and Tom Landry....Grizalltheway wrote:No doubt. Guy's a douche.dbackjon wrote:Still, a colossal **** up by Botox Jerry

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

well the 400 fans made out well. triple face value refund, still had access inside stadium and watched game on video screens, free merchandise and concessions and free tickets to next years game. They were also allowed to go on the field last night following the post game celebration.

Re: Sorry About That
A mistake made and then an act of contrition that makes all those that were affected happy would seem to be enough. JJ doesn't seem to be such a dbag after all. Good for him.UNHWildCats wrote:well the 400 fans made out well. triple face value refund, still had access inside stadium and watched game on video screens, free merchandise and concessions and free tickets to next years game. Re: Sorry About That
The deal just got a bit sweeter
The league initially said Sunday it would give $2,400, three times the face value of the ticket, to the fans who were forced to watch the game on monitors or use standing-room platforms after some temporary seating sections were not completed in time.
On Monday, Commissioner Roger Goodell said those fans also would receive tickets to next year’s Super Bowl.
Then on Tuesday, the NFL announced the fans could choose instead to receive a ticket to any future Super Bowl, including next year’s, along with round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations. If fans choose that option, they will not get the $2,400. They can wait until after the conference championship games each season to see whether their favorite team reaches the Super Bowl.
“We had more time to think about how to create a broader range of options that would better recognize the deep emotional bond that fans have for their team,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello wrote in an e-mail Tuesday.

This new option is much better as it assures the fans that they will be able to see their team, assuming their team makes it back in their lifetime.

Hmmmm...If they wait long enough until tickets are face vauled around $10,000 each, I wonder how Uncle Sam is going to tax the difference between what they paid and what the value of the future package will be worth?
