Liberty continues their best start in conference play, reaching 7-1 on the year with a win at Radford.

The Flames had never begun a season better than 1-0 in conference, this season they started at 5-0. They have yet to lose on the road in conference play. If only Coastal would start losing. :(

UNI beats Wichita State in Wichita for the 5th time in the last 7 trips (UNI has won 10 of the last 13 against the Wichitard State Shuckers). UNI is now 13-1 when scoring 60 or more points this year.

UNI also has 3 losses on shots that came with less than 3 seconds left on the clock - Missouri State, Southern Illinois, Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The loss to MSU UNI had the lead going into that last second shot.

UNI currently sits at 14-6 (5-3) and very easily could be 18-2 as the only two losses that couldn't be overcome by taking away a last second shot or 20% or less shooting were Syracuse and Indiana State.

Oh well, we need to keep on trucking. We are just starting to find out stride from the looks of it. Won 4 in a row, RPI will rise to the 60's tomorrow from 73 tonight.

Outside of the game AT Missouri State UNI is sitting good right now.

Harvard overcame a 12-point deficit to stay unbeaten in Ivy play and beat Dartmouth, 59-50.

Southern picks up their fourth win of the season (4-15, 3-4 SWAC) and breaking a nine game losing streak to the Hornets of Alabama St. They won 64-52 and now sit in 5th place, which sets them up nicely for a conference tourney spot.

Pitt 19-1
Montana 15-5

#16 UND @ #4 Pitt tonight. Pitt will probably move up to #2 and ND to #12 before the game. Should be a good one

And I guess if there is one sport this year that I can't really complain about my teams' performance, it's this one

Harvard beat Columbia 77-66. Next game today is against Cornell, the defending Ivy champions, at home. Cornell has struggled mightily since the graduation of Dale and Wittman. They are currently 4-13, 0-3. Harvard is 14-3, 3-0.

StonyBrook begins a three game homestand today against Univ. Hartford. We need to get back in the win colume quickly. Hartford is followed by UMBC on Monday night and then Boston Univ. on Friday 2/4. At 2-5 in America East we have a shot at going .500 with three wins.

Just in time for the 2011 "Death March" road trip to Penn and Princeton. Sweep that, and I'm a believer. :coffee:

TXST has cracked the pre-pre March Madness projected brackets on ESPN.com as a 16th seed with opening round against #1 OSU. It would be nice to see and there's still a long road before that but, hey, a mention is a mention.

FWIW, you guys had that offense doesn't win BB games argument. The game against UTA we scored 26 in the first half and were down by 13 at halftime. The team adjusted and won 79-72. So that's 56 2nd half points that won this game for TXST. (season avg is 79)
Yes, they slowed the pace and somehow kept the best 3 pt shooting team in the SLC to a manageable minimum but the scoring won this thing....adjustments to the offense that almost had to buy a basket in the first half.

TXST breaks .500 with a win (5th straight) over TAMU-CC 66-61
13-12 (8-3)
TXST has not been 8-3 in conference since the 1998-99 season

To be perfectly honest, we're (fans) all in shock and think we're dreaming.
