xen·o·pho·bi·a
noun
an unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is foreign or strange.
See, this is why lefties suck balls. They argue with emotions rather than logic.

For a lot of people, there is no "fear" or "hatred" in regards to illegal immigration. That's just something that Libs bring up because they relate to fear and hatred so well. It is also hard for a Liberal to understand that most conservatives who oppose illegal immigration actually welcome legal immigrants...it just doesn't compute in a tiny Liberal head. In fact, most small minded left wingers will simply ignore you when you tell them that you'd love to have a hard working legal Hispanic family move in next door....after all, who on this Earth doesn't like good Mexican food? Instead, they toss around words like "xenophobia" to make themselves feel as if they know more about us then we do.

In the end, Libs are wired differently. It is hard for them to understand that smart people can have a fact based discussion, make a decision, and take appropriate action. That set of actions simply doens't make sense to a left wing girlie type that needs to check everyone's feelings before doing a math problem.

Being against illegal immigration, anchor babies, and believing that the quote "religion of peace" is an oxymoron isn't an "unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners". Well, it might be in the minds of you left wingers, but not in the minds of more rational folks.
Gotta agree with BDK on this one....being against illegal immigration & anchor babies is being against persons who abuse this society's good faith and freedom of movement for their personal gain. A legal immigrant who has a baby while working in America with a valid visa is following the laws of this land. An illegal immigrant crossing the border at night with his pregnant wife so the baby can be born in this country with the inherent rights of a citizen is abusing the system. Being against that is not being unreasonable. And calling out moderate muslims for their failure to call out radicals killing the name of their religion due to their xenophobic issues is not unreasonable. Burning down a random mosque because of this would be Xenophobic.

Ripped the tits off of this one Appa. I am very pro-Immigration. I believe it is what has and will continue to make our nation great. Legal immigration. Being against people gaming the system or flat out breaking the law is anything but xenophobic.

Thinking that if it is true that the vast majority of muslims are so peace loving then they need to step up and rid their ranks of the fanatics is not xenophobic. It's no different than expecting the christians to come out and denounce and rid themselves of the wackos that threaten abortion docs. It's your house, clean that shit up before you expect me to give your religion any respect or trust.

Edit: I am in no way a tea party guy so I guess this doesn't really apply to me. Although I am a gun-toting white guy, so maybe it does. And what the fuck does this weasle have against gun-toting white guys anyway? What'd I fucking do to him? Shit.

Amazing how you didn't manage to frame your response around jellybean's or TTBF's posts. You're worse than a MEAC ref. :dunce:

Nothing more than a childish argument over semantics. Started by children.

Pro Choice or Pro Abortion?

Xenophobic or Exceptionalist?

Racist or Post Racial?

It is fruitless to even argue. I would be labeled xenophobic by one group (with the claim that I don't like Hispanics), and exeptionalist by another (because I think our immigration laws are broken and are allowing people who have no desire to become Americans become citizens).

Take your pick, whatever.

The NPR folks could be right or they could be wrong. It doesn't matter. What DOES matter is that these enlightened intellectuals somehow did not have the intelligence to keep their traps shut when their organization is under the microscope. That's just stupid. If NPR is defunded they will have made a key contribution to their own downfall.

Just to add one note- referring to the Jews as being collectively behind ANYTHING smacks of bigotry more than any Tea Party poster ever has. Jews aren't even collectively behind Israel for crying out loud. That's just my .02 cents. (Well, maybe they are collectively behind bagels)

Don't sweat the Jew thing CID. We've been taking the blame for everybody else's fuck-ups for the last few centuries. Hell, NPR's demise will be small potatoes compared to some of the shit we apparently have pulled in the past. :coffee:

jellybean...where are you? Yoo-hoo?

Yup, nothing to say against a fellow Lib that trashed the Jews. Time for a new thread entitled, "Jew hating skelly aproves of NPR exec's rant". After all, if you aren't against racism and xenophobia, then you are for it. :thumb:
