I've got Kentucky, San Diego St., Kansas & Pitt.

Pitt winning it all? As a Panthers fan let me try to talk you out of that. Tourney refs =/= Big East refs. Their playstyle is a massive handicap come March

I'll study the bracket tomorrow, but I'll probably go with Notre Dame, Pitt (easiest bracket), Kentucky and Duke.

WORD. Pitt plays WAY too rough for the tournament. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if Butler or ODU upset them in the second round... (and they won't get past the sweet 16)

Hmm, I'll still give them the benefit of the doubt for an elite 8 appearance at the least. Wiscy plays right into their strengths and KSU is seeded too high.

My take is that ODU would be a nightmare for them. The Monarchs shoot the lights out and work inside and outside well. While Pitt can pack it in down low - they'll end up in early foul trouble and then ODU can really go to work.

All four #1 seeds have only made the Final Four once...

I think this will be the 2nd year.

I just can't find anyone I'm comfortable with upsetting a #1 seed

I wouldn't put it past them. I also wouldn't bet the farm on it

And you objected to MY bracket? I predicted Butler over Pitt....

you not only had villanova winning one game (which they probably won't) but had them going to the championship... that is mental.

If they make it to the Elite 8, San Diego State will hammer them. Aztecs are easily a better team.

I'd agree with Kentucky if all the games were at Rupp, they don't do so hot away from home. Although they could hit a stride in the tourney, still don't see them as final four.

Mine: Kansas, Pitt, Texas, Ohio St. although I can see Pitt doing their usual flame out, figure they have to get over the hump some day, right? :?

I'm still not entirely sure about my bracket yet, but currently I have Ohio State, Texas, Kansas and Pittsburgh. I hate the thought of having three #1 seeds in the Final Four but I don't see anyone beating OSU or Kansas in their brackets and Pitt has what I believe is the easiest region out there. I agree they could lose to ODU in round 2 (or 3 I guess this year) but the Southeast Region easily has the weakest 2, 3 and 4 seeds in the tournament. Florida is ridiculously overseeded, BYU is Jimmer and no one else and just got waxed by the first real team they've had to play since the honor code violation and Wisconsin has some injury problems. Even going farther down that bracket:
5) Kansas State is very talented, but incredibly inconsistent, they could make the final four, but could just as easily lose to a very good Utah State team in round 1
6) St. Johns: DJ Kennedy with the blown ACL is bad news
7) UCLA is not that good, at all. Very, very turnover prone, great frontcourt (Smith and Nelson), really inconsistent backcourt

That's if SDSU makes it to the Elite 8...But no, I do not think SDSU is easily a better team than Duke

I was a Duke fan back in the day (saw them win it all in Minneapolis in 92)

I stopped cheering for them when that fuckface Greg Paulus showed up.

Oh hey, Duke has a Charlotte regional to start the tourney. SHOCKING

When I saw what an easy bracket Pitt got this year I figured the committee got the two teams mixed up. They were "Duke'ed" as it were

Um, most the top seeds got the same thing. Not sure how that is a knock against Duke...

Ohio State is in Cleveland
UNC is in Charlotte
Purdue and Notre Dame are in Chicago
SDSU is in Tucson
Florida is in Tampa
BYU is in Denver
Pitt is in DC

Eh, some of these are farther than I thought but overall fairly close to home

San Diego St has a grand total of ZERO NCAA tournament wins, and you already have them penciled in for the elite 8 and "hammering" Duke en route to the final four?

Not true.

San Diego St actually has FIVE wins in the NCAA Tournament, albeit at the D-II level. (No, you didn't specify the D-I NCAAT. If you had, you'd be correct. SDSU is 0-6 in the D-I tournament (5-5 in the D-I NIT). But if you check farther back, you'd find that SDSU is 5-3 in the D-II NCAAT and 19-5 in the NAIA Tournament with a national championship (1940-41) and a few runner-up banners to their credit.
