All of that is ancient history and none of it was done with your current coach.

NDSU has more National Championships at football than anybody.
JBB what is with all the name calling and personal attacks on people who do not agree with you? I would expect more from you. You are the one that is always calling people intolerant if they disagree with you. Come on JBB, you are better than that.
I will take the 15 yard retaliatory personal foul any day when a prick like that attacks me personally!

Northern Iowa drops football for budgetary reasons and gives their dome to the Iowa High School Sports association. UNO joins the league to replace them.

North Dakota State 14-0 National title bill fette resigns.

Fair enough. If that is how you feel maybe you should stop calling other people out for it. I still feel that if your goal is tolerance, you should not call someone poop face. Poop face, really? :flag:

Here is my rankings:
1. North Dakota State: Potential top 4 seed.
2. Northern Iowa: Unique offense will cause fits with their QB.
T-3. Indiana State: Best QB in the league in my eyes, solid all around team.
Youngstown State: Found major JUCO talent to sure up defense. Offense improves with Hess at QB.
5. Southern Illinois: Were banged up a lot last season. Should see improvement on defense if they stay healthy.
6. South Dakota State: Losing Minnet will hurt, but they should have a formidable team.
7. Western Illinois: Losing Barr, Senatus, etc. will hurt bigtime. Their offense was the reason they were so successful in 2010.
8. Missouri State: I had them in the playoffs last year and they disappointed me. They struggle mightily Kirby.
9. Illinois State: I just don't see them turning it around. Prove me wrong and pull an Indiana State ;).

Playoffs: NDSU, UNI for sure. INSU a great shot as well. YSU possibly if they get 7 wins, but the W over Valpo won't be impressive on the resume so they may want to get 8.

The difference slo stang is the vitriol of your attacks because of my opinion. I simply made up a ridiculous name for that clown because he was calling me names. Poop face was as childish as I could get and it sure beats fuck stick! Now onto something important.

I like guinzones take on the league. Where he might be wrong is in the leagues parity. WIU has a hill to climb and I would put them lower but I might put 3-5 schools tied for third again rather than just 2.

Our QB play was not that bad. NDSU could have won the National Championship if bill fette had called in sick. Top 15 for sure with huge upside.

At least the FCS was spared the shame and embarrassment of having a "national champion" with four conference losses. The media would have had a field day

Fortunes of war, JaBBer. Look at it this way: At least you were in, if they'd waited another year to dilute the field you would have been sniffing bicycle seats instead of playoffs.

I'm currently putting together a team by team breakdown for what I see this coming season. Each team will get their own blog entry on my blog (click the blog link up top and will be posted on the front page), and I will do a MVFC entry as well to sum it all up. The teams will come in alphabetical order, and it will take a week or three to get them all done. I started with ISUr tonight and am looking to do this format for the set up
Illinois State:
Last season 6-5 (4-4) (5-5 DI) T-3rd(4th place after tiebreak) in MVFC, no playoffs
Offensive Returning Starters:
Defensive Returning Starters:
Key Returning players:
Key Losses:
Returning Offense (% of yards):
Returning Defense (% of tackles):

Team Breakdown: Here I will do a brief breakdown of how I see each team's season playing out. What I see as a possible strength/weakness.

Game by Game Prediction (6h/5a):
09/01/11 at Eastern Illinois
09/10/11 vs. Morehead State
09/17/11 at Youngstown State
09/24/11 vs. South Dakota St
10/01/11 at North Dakota State
10/08/11 at Missouri State
10/15/11 vs. South Dakota State
10/22/11 vs. Indiana State
10/29/11 at Southern Illinois
11/05/11 vs. Western Illinois
11/19/11 vs. Northern Iowa
How long it takes for each team depends on the quality of information the school site had in terms of returning players. If I have to go through and match up class to player before I start doing stats it may take awhile...I'm looking straight at you Illinois State....

Look for Illinois State Thursday or Friday, and then every 3 or 4 days after that for other teams.

One thing to note I am basing almost completely off of returning players as it is almost always impossible to tell which freshman will play, and in what role.

MVFC fans I'm looking for some help with my prediction blog. As the schools don't have the spring prospectus out yet (thus listing the key players returning and lost along with starters lost/returning) I'm looking for someone to send me players you feel are going to be key contributors this year, preferably with stats to back that up, and people you feel the team will miss...again with stats it's tough for me to justify a "heart" leader in my predictions especially if I don't know the size of the impact the had.

Thanks.

Ndsu's qb has to improve if the bison want to improve on last years campaign. The one positive thing about our qb's last year, we didn't throw many int's. It's probably because they were so bad and didn't force many throws or when a pass was incomplete it was 5 yards away from anybody. Nothing wrong with punting and winning the turnover/field position battle.

I thinknwe lose 2 starters on d. We had a violent defense last year, and should Again in 2011. If we win a lot of games it's gonna be because we force a lot of qb's to run for their life and they end up making bad choices and throw int's. I know this was the case in the isu-b and sdsu games.

It sucks we have to wait 6 months to tailgate. I already know the twins will win the al central, its almost a given, so the summer will drag o. (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

Here's how I think it will look:
NDSU 8-3 (6-2)
UNI 7-4 (6-2)
SIU 7-4 (5-3)
YSU 6-5 (4-4)
Ind St 5-6 (4-4)
SDSU 5-6 (4-4)
Ill St 4-7 (3-5)
MSU 3-8 (2-6)
WIU 2-9 (2-6)

The winner of the Oct 29th game in Fargo determining who wins the conference.

The YSU Beat Reporter had a nice breakdown today of the CURRENT Spring Roster, not including those 2011 recruits NOT enrolled right now:

Sophomore CB Jamarious Boatwright tore his ACL and will be out the 2011 football season. YSU has quickly looked to replace him by way of a transfer. It sounds like they found one in my former teammate at Youngstown Ursuline High School.

Former Ursuline WR/CB (Scout 2-star, Rivals 3-star) Dale Peterman looks as though he will fill Jamarious' void according to YSU Beat Reporter Joe Scalzo in today's paper. He had offers to Nebraska, Wisconsin, South Carolina, among many others.

Of course YSU Head Coach Eric Wolford is an Ursuline grad. We'll see if this pays off. Our CB position, although has more experience this year, lacks depth BIG TIME!
