I don't think anyone is excusing anything, but as you say, we don't know shit about this case. Therefore we have no idea if this guy really did this because of the Bible, or if he was trying to use it for cover.

Had he attempted this crime in front of moderate Christians, I imagine they would have....as well as moderate muslims, jews or atheists for that matter. And, there's a good chance that the prosecuting attorney and judge of his future case are associated with the church as well as a majority of the jury....it's the law of averages. And that's the difference Skelly....moderate Christians have established a government that applies the rule of law and punishment without regard to the perpetrator's religion in contrast to the government's based upon Islamic religion. Moderate muslims preach of the love & understanding of Islam from the safety of American shores because, while they may be moderate, the governments based upon their religion of "love & understanding" are not...ever notice how you never see the "moderate" muslims preaching about their peaceful religion from Afghanistan? It's usually from the soundbooth of an American media outlet.....

I can call up hundreds of cases where the actions of a killer AFTER the murder do not relate at all to motive. Murderers are usually not from the smartest demographic. This guy certainly fits that bill.

You, on the other hand, cannot conceive of this because your knowledge is limited to what you get from watching CSI between episodes of Glee and old Judy Garland pieces.

Think of it this way, guys:

Suppose we had a situation where this hot 28 year old woman had been spending a bunch of time with a 70 year old guy. She'd managed to be named beneficiary in his will. She even managed to become executor of his will. Then she kills the guy in some fashion.

Now, honestly, what would you suspect in terms of her motivation for killing him?

C'mon guys. No, we can't know based just on those "tidbits" of information. But it's certainly reasonable to suspect financial motivation.
