Hey KY... Drudge is a clearinghouse.

Where did the article actually originate?

The source is CNSNews. (Whatever that is)

Didn't say it did.

Just found it pretty fucking hilarious that 3 Conks blew their load posting it as fast as possible as soon as it went up.
So Obama's hypocrisy is pointed out but everyone should ignore it because it was on Drudge?

What do you expect? It's not like he really could come up with a good defense for Jimmy Carter, Jr.

I honestly don't know what happened to Jelly in the last couple years. Although we never agreed, he used to make very intelligent arguements. Too much time on the bike in Mexico? :ohno:

Bullshit. I always supported Afghanistan and still do.

I was always against the Iraq invasion, you are right there. What I wanted us to do was maintain the UN mission of enforcing the no fly zones and ensuring Iraq does no reconstitute its WMD arsenal. That's a similar mission in Libya now... enforcing a no fly zone with minimal military presence or risk.

If we send in ~150,000 troops into Libya I'll be screaming bloody hell about it. Count on it.
skelly...what is it about our mission in Affy that you support? What are our goals there that you support? When would you pull out the troops?

Specifics, please.

Edit: what is it about our mission in Libya that you support?

Ditto for Iraq, pro or con.

I actually agree with Kucinich on this one and respect his consistency. But that Constitutional principle has been violated so many times now that I'm kind of numb to it.

One thing I do wonder when I see people like Kucinich pick one particular Constitutional principle to embrace is why they don't give a cr*p about ALL the Constitutional principles being violated ALL the time by a Federal government which is so far beyond its legitimate Constitutional bounds in so many areas that the situation would not be recognizable to the People who ratified the original Constitution.

I mean, we've had stuff like establishing the idea that a farmer can't grow wheat on his own land to feed to his own chickens because the Commerce Clause has been "interpreted" to mean the Federal government has the power to tell him that because it "affects" interstate commerce. Is Kucinich all upset about all the stuff the Federal government does under the VERY broad umbrella of ridiculously liberal interpretation of the Commerce Clause? Somehow I doubt it.

Kucinich, let us know what you're ready to call for ALL branches of the Federal government to return to within their legitimate intended Constituitonal bounds in ALL areas instead of picking out one situation and suddenly deciding that we should actually be governed by the Constitution.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Good post.

Kucinich is very liberal, but consistent in the same way Ron Paul is on the other side and I like them both. (I think Kucinich was one the more vocal supporters of Paul's efforts to audit the fed.)

As for protecting the entire constitution, he'll we can't even agree on what single sentences say, let alone the whole document. It's gray.

The point, you goddamn dimwit, is that "congressman in the legislative branch" is redundant. You wouldn't expect to find a congressman in any other branch, would you?

Free the tenth amendment!

I am actually shocked that anyone would feel that the current POTUS is more interested in his own power and agenda than in principle and a strict interpretation of the Constitution. The only conclusion I can draw is that anyone who disagrees with our current Prez is a racist, in particular Dennis K...
