Pro golfers and baseball players have skill and partake in a competition but a sport requires a level of endurance and those wimps don't even carry their own bags. Is Jon Daley an athelete? John Kruk? :kisswink:
Yes, they are. It's a physical skill. Poker is not a physical game.
Poker and NASCAR both involve sitting in one spot for a very long time moving mostly your hands. :coffee:

You might be able to make a case for NASCAR not being a sport, but not by comparing it to poker. A quadriplegic can play poker.

The combination of all three of my girls playing and the World Cup last Summer/Fall did it. I actually find myself watch Premiere League games on Sunday mornings. :ohno:

After that I really care enough about any sports other than to just follow them occasionally.

I don't pretend to understand everything about this game, but I used to LOVE when it came up on ESPN.
You live out west so this is on earlier for you than I...but....

I have insomnia pretty bad so I can't sleep worth shit before about 2 or 3AM, on a good day, Central Time. Saturday night/Sunday morning during the AFL season they show a live game on ESPN2 starting at like Midnight or 1AM Central. I set it on the TIVO in case I happen to fall asleep during the game about 2:30.

Thankfully they tend to show a lot of Hawthorn games, being the Hawthorn fan that I am I was happy
