passed in the middle of the night my ass - the final version of the bill passed at 11pm eastern time.
in fact, if memory serves - every major action on the floor with regard to the bill was acted on during (or very near) regular business hours
it's not like the CAFTA vote - where Denny Hastert left the vote open for hours while their ol' boys went to work on Mike Fitzpatrick and whipped him in to changing his vote well after midnight.
